I like Loki's chain cards idea.
Xenogeist on 03:17, 26. Jun, 2009
I really like the chain idea too. I'm anxious to see the next card. I'm guessing by the way you set it up that the only card a player can put in their deck is the first one, The Chain of Heaven? That way they don't skip ahead in the chain. I wonder if that's possible?
DPsycho on 04:40, 26. Jun, 2009
Castle in the Skies can't set facilities to 0. MArcomage has a hard minimum of 1 each.
marsrover21 on 04:41, 26. Jun, 2009
@xeno:

You can't jump b/c every card says, "if last card played was X." Getting them in hand out of order would be a big waste.
DPsycho on 05:04, 26. Jun, 2009
If you drew, say, card 4 and card 5 randomly, you could play 4 for no effect and then 5 for its full effect. It seems this is what he wants to avoid.
Xenogeist on 05:25, 26. Jun, 2009
What Dpsycho said. Maybe they can be reworded to make it clear that you can't start anywhere in the chain.
Endovior on 11:57, 26. Jun, 2009
Probably the easiest way to avoid this would be to only allow you to put the first card in your deck.

Of course, this would involve a mechanics change, as we'd now have a 'special rarity' section, for cards that can't normally be drawn. There's probably more stuff then that that belongs there, though... Purified Ashes, anyone?
Fithz Hood on 15:50, 26. Jun, 2009
I like your idea of a new card type that cannot be put in a deck. "common", "uncommon", "rares" and "forbidden". They can only be summoned by cards effect, for exemple: a forbidden holy can be summoned by "prayer" or "monastery".
marsrover21 on 19:12, 26. Jun, 2009
Land of the summons ftw? Could have cards like Leviathan and Bahatmut there. Woohoo!
Ikarus on 19:18, 26. Jun, 2009
Wow, Forbidden, is a cool idea for card Rareity.
Endovior on 10:39, 30. Jun, 2009
"Forbidden" is definitely a good term for it. To codify, a "Forbidden" card should adhere to one of the following...

1: It is a card that is intentionally weaker then Common, intended to be 'given' to the opponent by effects like Danai Present, Flare Attack, Cleansing, etc...
2: It is a card that is intentionally stronger then Rare, intended to be summoned only after doing something else that justifies it's (low cost, more powerful effect, etc... whatever it is that would make the card OP as a standalone rare).
3: It is a card that is intended for use in a 'chain'-type mechanic as proposed earlier, that should not be produced outside of the 'chain' under normal circumstances.
4: It is a 'hidden' card that is intended to be only drawn as the effect of a 'keyword'-type summon effect, like Prayer or Mage Guild.
Fithz Hood on 11:02, 30. Jun, 2009
Maybe it could be a keyword instead then a new rarity type. in this way we can have common forbidden, uncommon forbidden... . Now the question is: it's implementable? A card with the "take" button disabled?
Mojko on 11:18, 30. Jun, 2009
Implementable it is. However it is not trivial. I would like to make it as a new rarity type not a keyword.
Chrone on 12:03, 1. Jul, 2009
Can you please make state grading button?

I think, a lot of people want to see all "interesting" state cards at once.
Mojko on 12:06, 1. Jul, 2009
Use the state filter to filter out cards with specific state. "Interesting" is one of them.
jbryant3 on 03:27, 2. Jul, 2009
Maybe I didn't get the memo, but what is the "interesting" state mean? Potentially implementable?

That would be cool for my Realignment card...
Mojko on 07:08, 2. Jul, 2009
"Interesting" state is a requirement for beeing picked for implementation for the next update. Of course, not all "interesting" cards will be implemented.

Cards that were not labeled as "interesting" still have chance to be picked for later updates.
Mojko on 07:42, 3. Jul, 2009
I was browsing your card suggestions in the concepts section and I see that many of you are creating cards that summon cards from your deck, not the card pool. It's ok, but please note that cards specified by you in the card effect, can be an empty set, when taken from your deck.

For example "next card will be a dragon from your deck". When played and there are no dragons in the deck, what should happen? Think this trough.
DPsycho on 14:33, 3. Jul, 2009
When I first started building decks way back when, I thought summoning would work that way. In one early deck, I took the dragon egg card and Dragon Squadron (and no other dragons), hoping that it would always give me that one specific dragon card in lieu of less powerful ones. Fortunately, this was not the case. It would have been terribly exploitable.

Drawing a card of specific rarity "from your deck" is fine as there will always be 15 from which to choose, but drawing a keyword "from your deck" gives too much potential for exploit.
Ikarus on 15:02, 3. Jul, 2009
I like the Malestorm Keyword from Xenogeists Hurricane Card, witch is similar to the Flare Attack. I think one could make a nice little Nature Deck, for there are so many in the Concepts and already existing potentials, like, Valley of thousand rivers, Wind, Tornado, Ancient ruins, Ent, Locust Swarm, Tidal wave, Catastrophe, Green Dragon,...
With all this cards it is possible to make a new highly Nature focused Deck. I think thats cool, but ain't the other ^smaller^ Keywords like Destruction, Illusion, got missed out a little here?
