Consider that common banish cards can only discard common durables. 95% of the time, your opponent is going to consider it a favour for you to discard a common for him. That, combined with the weak attack, makes this an extremely lousy card. I think it definitely needs a buff.

Maybe it could do some nice bonus damage if the banish effect procs? (Because of the order in which keywords resolve, I don't think this is possible in the most obvious sense, but you could just test whether the other player has a common durable in their hand when the card's main effect is being determined)

Coincidentally, I was thinking the other day of suggesting that we change banish to affect one rarity higher than the banish card, simply because of the weakness inherent in common banish cards.

Would you consider Ogre balanced if its balance ability hit uncommon durables as well?

Well, it would be an improvement at least. I would probably still never take it, since there are very few decent, commonly-used, uncommon durables.

Perhaps make Banish a token keyword?? It can keep it's normal effect, where it discards an opponent's Durable when it's played, but when the counter reaches 100 then the effect could affect any Durable card regardless of rarity

How about this:

Common banish will be able to discard uncommon durables.
Uncommon banish will be able to discard Rare durables.
Rare banish will get a resource bonus equal to the cost of the discarded durable card.

That's not a bad idea

Weakens Undead decks a lot (no Eternal guardian), which hardly anyone plays

Instead, why not leave as is and do damage (or gain stock) based on the card discarded?

Or, if this is going to be implemented, allow Eternal guardian to replace another selected card (like Conjurer).
