I think that dragon egg must be modified: Next card received will be a RARE Dragon. In the way it is now you can get common and uncommon dragons such as dragon whelp or fairy dragon and this is quite depressing.

There are 9 rare Dragons and only 1 common 1 uncommon, so the odd is actually good.
If you look at Magic Lamp you have 2/3 of chance to get a rare card, it costs 5 resources each, and it's a common, it is cheaper, but the odd to get a rare is lower too.

But magic lamp is a common card so no wonder if it's not so good. dragon egg is an uncommon that cost 20 gems, 5 more than the scepter of summoning that doesn't have any disavantages (if you put good rares in your deck)

I agree with you there - it doesn't stack up very well against scepter of summoning at all. I think that, rather than changing the description to "rare dragon", maybe the cost should just be cut.

Try to compare another summoning card - the new General's Army. This card still summons a good combination of army (even after the change) plus we essentially pays nothing to summon them (only the initial cost is raised). What's more we actually have a net gain - a generous +15 recruits - by playing this card. The combination is fixed so it's guaranteed that we must get what we want.

Dragon egg, on the other hand, cost much to play. And we still have a small chance summoning a cheap common/uncommon card. At best, we may get a good rare dragon. due to the random nature, sometimes we may get a sub-optimal rare dragon which we don't want. (OK! It's uncommon. But does it really justify such a bad treatment?)

What a difference! What a bias! :-P

Unless you are so desperate to get a rare dragon (at little risk), Scepter of Summoning is a better card. This one is a card for rubbish bin.

The author should at least guarantee a rare dragon. ;)

I know this is an old discussion, but what i have to say belongs here and this will be a waste to create a new one.

I played a lot scepter of summoning. And most of time with valuable return.

Lately I tryed hard to make a good dragon deck!!!
With a little of burning or destruction in it, just to respect the spirit of dragon!! BAD IDEA...

Dragons are lame...

There's 2 reasons:
- side effect: Once you have a dragon in hand, every other dragon you get will be hard to play because next card will allways be dragon egg...

-dragon egg: 15 gems... for a rare dragon... Half of rare dragons (5 on 11) needs more than 25 gems to play... That mean you need to have at least 40 gems to play the two cards in two turns...
Also only 5 dragons on 11 are good for me the others are too expensive for their effects (60 bricks is a good example!!! an unco for 80 bricks give you almost victory with tower + 80)

So i really tried to make a good game out of dragon's deck but impossible!!!
I guess you just use 3 of them in rare cards and cross fingers!!!

Can't we set dragon token??
Now that there is 2 common dragons.

And I also want to know if some players want new cards to improve dragons!!
I could try to create some!

The new dragon effect is rather obnoxious as it prevents you from drawing something that may be immediately useful. It's been a real annoyance in my Burning deck.

I actually think that Dragon egg is kind of useful. I have my fast mage deck with good stock and then I get Dragon egg with another dragon already in hand. I've won couple games just by summoning rare dragons after rare dragons and gradually destroying enemy tower.

Dragon egg has its good side too, but I'm not sure are Dragons useful for every deck. Neither I'm not sure should they be.

Dragons are expensive. But there are gem boost cards like Meditation, Pegasus... With dragon deck you are able to pull many rares in almost a row, but it will cost you. It's a tradeoff. If well played, it can be devastating.
