Haven't used it or seeing it used, but I have to admit I thought the same when first seeing it.

i dissagree, myself i find choosing uncommon cards to be the hardest task most of the time since there is so many good ones. Using recruits and gems to build wall i am also a bit reluctant towards since thats what you will be lacking in most decks.

Seeing how this card has no keyword, costs wanted resoruces, is neither super offensive nor super defensive i find it a must for it to be really cost efficient or it is just garbage. (still haven't seen many use it)

I like this card, but it is much stronger than Nightmare which costs almost the same amount of resources and has additional disadvantage of having "charge" keyword. Though I'd rather tweak Nightmare.

but nightmare has more damage and burning keyword, it's also not always a bad thing to have charge cards they counter other cards like light infantery

I agree with celticfrost here. I'm thinking more of lowering the cost of Nightmare to 13/13.

I believe that's the power of the card: you can be both offensive and defensive at the same card. Yes you can play 2 stronger cards, doing these things seperately, but it'll cost you more (time).
