1) Change player1/2/winner tabs to just winner / player 2 tab. This will make replays more readable. Game initiator can be pointed out somehow different.

2) Players in player filter will better be arranged in alphabetical or lvl or some other order.

3) Instead of [1]/[2] buttons player names can be made as buttons.

4) [<] [>] buttons inside replay change their location as cards change. Makes replay more frustrating to click through. I suggest to place this buttons where round counter is.

5) Replays will better be linkable. In perfect, i would like to see selected turn can be linkable - so links can be used instead of screenshots.

6) Deck names. Yes, game analysis will be more simple if one could easily find, for example, all "beast vs mage" battles in that tons of replays.

7) Awards can be shown in victory type section.

That's all at this moment =)

1, 2 and 4 implemented in https://netvor.sk/trac/arcomage/changeset/765 thanks for good suggestions ;-)

3. I disagree. I think it's redundant to use player names on these buttons. Actually, I'm thinking of removing the [1] and [2] buttons and replacing them with [->] button which will select Player1 as default view, since player view can be switched inside the game replay.

5. Yes, that would be nice. For this however we would need to completely redesign current engine of parameter handling. This task is already in the implementation queue, since forum would benefit from such a feature as well.

6. Deck names don't hold any interesting information in general. Actually according to my analysis only a small group of players take their time to choose proper names for their decks. I don't think this information would be of any use.

7. I was thinking about showing battle reports for both players and the end of the replay, though I'm not quite sure if such information is interesting to see.

#4 - i meant at the same heght as round counter. Now it shifts whole game lower, so cards of opponent are partly hidden.

Even if I move the navigation to some other place, there is no guarantee that it will fit the screen. I suggest using the full screen mode. That way you can see the entire game on one screen without the need to scroll. See here http://helppage.3dfx.sk/fendek/full_screen.png

For 4) I would suggest a tokens find/show option.
For instance to search game where the winner had set Soldier tokens.

8) Search for awards given
I am waiting for a replay of a titan win, how can I easily find that?
Lord Ornlu on 13:46, 12. Jan, 2010
for #6 we can use the keywords implemented by a player instead of the deck name. That would be practical i think
dindon on 14:39, 12. Jan, 2010
I'm glad #6 won't be implemented, because I have some really horrible/nonsensical deck names.
jbryant3 on 14:41, 12. Jan, 2010
My deck names are funny (I think :P)
Progressor on 19:14, 12. Jan, 2010
3. Intuitively I would agree on the names part, judging from my first experience.

6. Using the Tokens was my first idea, but this doesn't work for non-token keywords like Illusion or Restoration. So you should use 'Most present keyword'. Doable?

My Illusion deck is called Adapt :-P
Chrone on 19:52, 12. Jan, 2010
Most presented keyword? For example, then my towerburn deck will be called "soldier". Retarded.
Progressor on 11:30, 13. Jan, 2010
[Watch your tone xpoh. Calling someone retarded for one think-step less is slightly exagerated]

I see your point, it still fails on non-keyword decks. I do feel it's probably the closest you'll get for estimating deck type. Unless you want everyone to tag their decks on deck type, but I don't think many will bother.
Lord Ornlu on 16:10, 13. Jan, 2010
I think just show the 3 most common keywords in the deck and leave it at that. Either way when someone enters a replay he will realise what kind of deck the 2 players have
Chrone on 16:49, 13. Jan, 2010
Pro, do not overdo your duty, i said that towerburn deck named as soldier is retarded situation. And it is.

And i think something like "description" can be used. Point out your idea in few words is not very difficult compared to inventing and picking the whole new deck of cards. Or even something like a set of checkboxes can be used instead not text-field... but i think that couple-word text description is better.
Mojko on 17:32, 13. Jan, 2010
I don't think this approach will lead to a usable result. The only thing that could be usable is to have a game replay editor person who would fill in the description of the game and perhaps rate it how good it is (if it is worth watching).
Chrone on 20:41, 13. Jan, 2010
Well, i'd rather gave participants ability to mark their interesting games. Something like [GG] button near [leave game] one or in replay section.

There are too much replays for even very purposeful man to see.
Chrone on 20:47, 13. Jan, 2010
8) Besides, it would be nice to have some sorting tools in replay section (and in player list too) - sorting by rounds and by name.
//i know that player can be chosen, but it would still be useful to sort his opponents by name.
9) since there are no player 1 and player 2 anymore, it is logical to change [1]/[2] buttons to [W]/[L]
10) ability to see deck you played that game.
Mojko on 14:18, 14. Jan, 2010
8 - yes, that can be done

9 - I'm replacing these buttons with one button, since the player view can be switched inside a game replay

10 - Deck data is not archived since I think decks shouldn't be public. See a review gives you same amount of information as playing against a player. Seeing his deck is a different matter. Developing a deck is a part of this game, so I would like to prevent deck copying.
FilipeSilva on 14:53, 14. Jan, 2010
I think I didn't get any answer for my previous post
>8) Search for awards given
>I am waiting for a replay of a titan win, how can I easily find that?
Mojko on 15:06, 14. Jan, 2010
Hmm search. This isn't a trivial matter I need to do some more research about this.
Chrone on 15:29, 14. Jan, 2010
about #10, of course i mean only your deck, if it is your replay.
