If it's not too much trouble, why not move the My Games section to the same Game page underneath the available games. That way we don't have to go through another site load before hosting a game.

Their next to active games, so already on the same page.
Is there something Im missing?
jbryant3 on 20:41, 11. Jan, 2010
Yeah, but I was thinking about a 3-part page. Active games on the left then available games on the right with the hosting games box (with hosted games) underneath it.

If I understand correctly, he want to move the "my games" subsection to the main game list section. I don't think it's a good idea. When I designed this structure I had in mind that games list is much more visited compared to "my games" subsection. Your change would save one page load, but it would bring unnecessary information to the game list screen, from the average section usage point of view. I stand by my design decision and want to keep current structure.

When doing design you must not only think of how you use this section, but rather how efficient is the section used in general.

Ah, a part for games hosted by others, and underneath a part for games you host.

Speaking of which, Id aply this idea too for in- and outcoming challenges. Then you can cancel a challenge in the same screen you accept the challenge where you were freeing room for.

Edit: Some point there Mojko.

I agree with Mojko, it's not much trouble or much time going to the My games section or to the Challenge Outbox, and it would strain the info the page has to load if we changed that, thus resulting in a generally slower server since the information would be doubled for the page refreshes. Thus if now there are 20 players online and we changed the layout, then the server would work as if there were 40 players online

Another request: could you add the number of free slots somewhere in the hosting window? everytime I want to host/join a game I had to check the player list to see how many free slots I have (I always want at least 2 free slots so that I can accept challenges)

We fixed that issue in the latest update; you shouldn't have to worry about that anymore.

yes, I just saw the changes of this update. good work.
anyway I still think that having the number of free slots in the host section could be helpful.
