_I don't like having (4+1) for magic and (0-95) for tokens because I automatically do the math, and have to consciously tell myself that I have 4 magic, not 5, and 0 tokens, not -95. I can't finish a turn quickly anymore because I have to double check all changed numbers. Also, I never noticed any "color info", do the colors change somehow?
_No response on the rating system? Isn't there some way to just have an option to re-order the player list and remove the columns (and number by my name)?

The tiny numbers indicating gain and loss look really nice. I approve.

I remember the time when the changes were not displayed in any way, the game attributes were clearly readable. Later it seemed a good idea to display such changes, but the color coding has also a negative side. We highlight text with green and orange colors and the text itself is located in front of a red, blue and green background. I tried to pick the best colors for highlighting, but still under these circumstances it wasn't possible to find good colors for highlighting. The text is less readable mostly in cases when green text is in front of a green background and orange text in front of a red background.

Displaying changes with exact numbers solves the problem with color readability and furthermore lets you know the exact amount of changes.

Because of this, I think current system is a better choice. I know it will take some time to adapt to this new display, but I think it's worth it.

Well, if I can't turn off the new "features", I think I'll just finish up my current games.

Djin, can you explain to us WHY you want to turn it of so badly?
The exp-bar and the +/- signs are easily ignored.

I know that this may sound silly, but is it possible to have the total amount of resources (bricks + gems + recruits) displayed somewhere on the game interface? Maybe somewhere above or below the Tower/Wall indicators, less emphasized of course.

Quite a few cards like Greed Is Good or the new Prosperity rely on this. I know I can do the calculations or have a calculator to do it for me, but it would be useful/user friendly if this was done by the game.
DPsycho on 18:34, 14. Sep, 2010
I admit that I use my computer's calculator a lot when nearing a resource victory, especially with Bank. Still, I'm going to stand by my prior opinion that more numbers on screen would not be better. Making such info available as mouseover text, perhaps on the images of the facilities, would be an elegant solution.
Mojko on 18:39, 14. Sep, 2010
Maybe an option in user settings - additional info bar with such information.
dimitris on 18:46, 14. Sep, 2010
I thought of a tooltip too, but then I thought that this excludes keyboard users (if any). So an optional indicator for total resources would be great (I will definitely enable it).
Lord Ornlu on 23:08, 14. Sep, 2010
By tooltip you mean a pop-up balloon? That would be an excellent idea.
DPsycho on 00:00, 15. Sep, 2010
Similar to what we have for Keywords now, yes.
jbryant3 on 22:34, 6. Jan, 2011
Could we have a total of each player's resources during the game? It would be handy for cards like Water elemental when preview isn't available.
Lord Ornlu on 22:40, 6. Jan, 2011
I agree, especially in Hidden Mode where Preview button is not available
Fithz Hood on 00:19, 7. Jan, 2011
and also it would be an useful help for snob victories
Mojko on 12:23, 7. Jan, 2011
Implemented in r1360. When you hover over game attributes (facilities, resources, tower and wall) additional description will be shown (current attribute name, its value and related attributes total).

For example if you hover over "Bricks", you get description: "Bricks: N (Resources total: M)".

Thanks very much. It helps a lot :)
