Aqua: get 10 tokens +5 for each other Aqua card in hand.
100 tokens: Nullify up to N damages your opponent dealt last turn, N based on played card's rarity (c=7,u=14,r=21).

The main trait of this keyword will be the Nullify keyword (see my other suggestion thread).

Later I will post some concepts.

Some card that could have the Aqua keyword: magic well, pirate gostship, magic fountain, cold arrow, corsairs, flood, merchant ship, oasis, pirates, tidal wave, water elemental.

Seems unnecessary.
Sundancer on 22:51, 24. Nov, 2009
seems great
DPsycho on 23:38, 24. Nov, 2009
I support adding new keywords to the game. More types of decks and more interactions between keywords will keep things fresh. A water keyword seems a sensible thing to add.

If we just keep adding more cards for the existing keywords, we'll get the the point where one can compose a deck where all 15 Common, all 15 Uncommon, and a good many of the Rares in a single deck share a keyword, and the token effects will become insane.
Lord Ornlu on 02:33, 25. Nov, 2009
why not add also earth and wind keywords? we already have fire (burning) and aqua
dindon on 03:05, 25. Nov, 2009
I totally agree with DPycho (we really need a quote feature on these forums). Adding more and more cards with old keywords is a dangerous thing.
Chrone on 08:35, 25. Nov, 2009
New keywords are great, but this one is controverssal.
Nullify keyword seems great, aqua token counter is stupid and unhandy.
Fithz Hood on 10:19, 25. Nov, 2009
Actually neither I don't like aqua ability. my first idea was a summoning ability but it was in conflict with both nature and dragon side effects. Another possibility could be a stock bonus based on rarity.
DPsycho on 14:39, 25. Nov, 2009
I think the token effect should do something against burning cards.
Chrone on 16:12, 25. Nov, 2009
I think, aqua keyword should do something defensive. Discard attack card from opponent's hand or add wall for example.
tom on 17:43, 25. Nov, 2009
what about taking an extra turn. because water travel is swift. just make the token generation very slow (like mage).
Chrone on 19:31, 25. Nov, 2009
i guess it is not implementable.
Mojko on 20:20, 25. Nov, 2009
Of course it is implementable, since we already have a swift keyword that has such effect.
Progressor on 22:05, 25. Nov, 2009
I find the naming on the cards confusing. I suggest calling the keyword Nullify(N), or Aqua(N). Now it seems like it are 2 separate keywords, like Soldier and Charge on Heavy Cav.
.
I see cards without nullify, for which I suggest notation Aqua(0).
Fithz Hood on 12:22, 16. Feb, 2010
I thought of an alternative power for this keyword: when you get 100 tokens next card will be the card played.
or when you get 100 tokens play again, but this seems to fit more the mage keyword.
Progressor on 20:48, 16. Feb, 2010
Id say:
Different concept, different name. Then we might some day have both that and a more defensive keyword like Aqua available.

How bout: Resilient
Fithz Hood on 19:33, 18. Feb, 2010
I must say that this kind of durability was my first idea for aqua bonus; I did not proposed it because of keyword's conflict (e.g.: water dragon is aqua and dragon so there could be a problem if both bonus are triggered), but now that there is a priority for keyword I've decided to propose this idea.
I really want a new keyword to create new decks/strategies; I still hope that Aqua+Nullify will be implemented.
jbryant3 on 19:00, 16. Apr, 2010
I liked the old Aqua keyword better because it was something unique. The new change isn't very helpful. Instead I propose a different effect for the type of card played:

If a common card is played after any Aqua card, enemy stock -1.
If an uncommon card is played after any Aqua card, tower and wall +5. This is because the uncommons are VERY expensive to play (could be modified if more uncommon Aqua cards became cheaper).
If a rare uncommon card is played after any Aqua card, enemy stock -5, wall and tower +10. This is because the rares are not only expensive, but are difficult to get (since there are only 2 of them right now). This could also be modified in the future.
BoneTrash on 00:17, 17. Apr, 2010
(There are actually 3 aqua rares. Water elemental got the keyword as well now.)

I'm in favour of this suggestion. With the current change it feels like a splash in the face rather than a continous stream of water which I think it should represent.

I really liked playing the aqua cards on a streak keeping the effect alive, but they were a bit too powerfull before. But as said, I like this idea better than the current change

Given Fithz's ability to pump out cards faster than the oil in the Gulf of Mexico, I think we should re-evaluate this keyword. I am in favor of making the commons do something (see my post above). This would be unique to the game play and add a fun dynamic.
