While increasing the max post and email size would be nice, what I'm MOST interested in is having more game slots... I'm perpetually out of room to accept challenges.

More is always preferred. :D

Change the title. I also want more slots for card decks, so call it "more game and card slots". :P

Together with the new keyword system, I want to build 1 card deck per theme (eg undead, unliving) and play test one by one. I don't need to remove and redo when I try other themes. Different playstyles (eg construction, destruction) occupy 4-6 slots. Different themes takes 10+ slots.

If it doesn't stress your server, I hope you can raise the max to 20 card decks (too greedy?). ;-)

It is planned to raise card slots in deck and game slots in two ways:

- by winning contests
- by leveling up in the planned new rating system

Howerver both are not implemented yet, sorry...
Progressor on 16:16, 15. Aug, 2008
But if you get more games by leveling in the rating system, you get that it's harder for new players to catch up fast. As I remind it, thats a bit against the idea of the rating system.

Just thinking out loud...

There is a problem because of the more card slots! The more cards you have in your deck, the slighter is the probability to get a certain card, that mean that decks which needs a certain card to be around well would be weakened, because this card is then more rarely!

I hope you understand what I mean.
DPsycho on 00:12, 17. Aug, 2008
Yes, and I believe people were asking for more deck slots, not more card slots within decks.
Fithz Hood on 16:02, 17. Aug, 2008
And what about giving more card slots with the option of leave them empty? really i need more uncommon slots in all my decks.
Progressor on 19:29, 17. Aug, 2008
And suddenly the term Sideboard comes back to my memory, from paying MTG
lord Alex on 21:43, 17. Aug, 2008
It would be great if everyone could adjust how high the probability of a card is.

Each common card has average 1, 5% to get.

Then everyone could adjust that the one card has 2%, the other card only 1% then every deck would be unique, but I think that this Feature is impossibly to have incorporate.

I like the idea of individualized decks. I had somehow a same idea, that you would have like 20 skill point per deck to spend. so you could invest for exapmle 1 skill point increase the attack power of a card by 1. or invest 2 sill points to lower the cost of a card by 1 of each resource. and maybe even more interesting it could be if your cards gain experiences in battles. for example if you play 3 times the same card during a game, the card could get stronger (of course only during the time of this game). well but i guess these ideas are quite unrealistic to implement.

Back to the original thread topic, I think having more game slots is essential.
There are some people who log on, it seems, twice a week or just seldom in general. So it makes me frustrated when I see more game invites but can't add them (and also cannot play in many of my current games because of the lack of activity).
Mojko on 11:48, 12. Sep, 2008
Do we really need more game slots? We now display number of "Free slots" in the players section and it seems that there are only few players that have no free slot.
Perfection on 17:49, 12. Sep, 2008
thats because we are saving slots.....
i dont challenge people that arent very active for that reason
Endovior on 07:41, 14. Sep, 2008
I typically try to fill all my slots, so I'm at least doing something with them... and experience mixed results.

At the moment, I am in a number of games that aren't terribly active, thus slowing play considerably. So goes it.
Mojko on 10:36, 16. Sep, 2008
I think the problem is the limitation itself, not a specific limit to 15 games. I think even if I raise it to 20 it won't change anything (in general scope). The more players are on our site the more game slots would players like to have, most likely. But our server has not infinite resources, you know. So infinite game slots aren't a possibility.
marsrover21 on 19:39, 17. May, 2009
It would be pretty neat if more simultaneous games were possible. Sometimes you log on ready for gaming, and are left looking at a bunch of stagnant games. Maybe limit it only to "power users" (users w/ 100 or more decisions). That way it wouldn't be exploited by someone new who might not stay around.

Thoughts?

I, for instance, avoid playing games with players with less than 10 games due that I got in the past many slots waiting for "abort game", because the players did not return.
Myschly on 13:11, 23. May, 2009
I'd like this as well... Sitting with 5 games waiting for abort and 5 slow players is annoying.
