My feeling remains that you should be able to see which of your cards have been revealed. It adds actual strategy where there would otherwise be guesswork involved. There's a psychological element as well as you are better able to try to think through what your opponent must be thinking given what he sees and what he may guess is also in your hand. It could also create panic moments where a player who's been holding a card for the right moment may choose to play it early to avoids its potential discard.

Since most reveals are presently mass reveals or position-based, the player whose cards are revealed will most often know which ones they are anyway and can then keep track of that information. As long as that is the case anyway, the game may as well show it.

I agree with DPsycho. I think this information should be visible, since the player can write such information to the game note, when opponent play reveal cards. However, I still wasn't able to find a good way to display it. Here are the options I tried:

1. Card border

Doesn't use additional space, but it's impossible to find a color that will fit all backgrounds. Letting the player choose his own background because of this feature seems very awkward.

2. Revealed card insignia

Put a small picture somewhere in the card to display that it has been revealed. This however uses additional space within the card and it doesn't look well. Only place where it wouldn't use the additional space would be the card picture. To make a double layer card picture would require not trivial modification. Also, the insignia picture would block part of the card picture.

3. Encoding this information into some other card content. For example card name can be displayed in italic style when revealed.

4. Put it somehere in newcard flag, maybe redesign newcard flags as well to save more space.

Any ideas where to put this information are welcome.

I'd go with the new flag idea. Maybe a golden flag over the card that says "Revealed" and if it's also new maybe a flag that is half grey-half gold and says
New/Rev

I would suggest an additional flag , where it would appear above the new card flag.

I thought so too at first but the screen might look crowded and confusing if we add too much flags, buttons and counters. I have to agree though that to seperated flags would be more clear. I think despite that I'd still go with one flag.

perhaps we can go with the suggestion of a coloured border around the cards. i think it would be good. my suggestion is don't leave it as a single colour. Instead make it ribbed in golden and black. that way it will always be visible no matter what background is behind it. Also another idea is to recolour the whole revealed card. Or perhaps make the "Revealed" flag be a simple asterisk in a flag, that will be revealed in front of the colour's icon (i.e. not the text, but the artwork above it)

I like it ...but I think that the idea was also for new card to be replaced also by an icon
