Just wondering, is there a way to do what I set out to do with this card? i.e, give swift to a non-swift card? Or would that not be unsupportable?

It can be done, but it can only effect the played card. So, you can a have a card that is not a Swift card, but it has some card text "If something then Swift card effect", for example.

I like this idea: normal cards that become swift if the right condition is met.
I remember Mojko said it's hard to implement something like that (but it was many months ago, maybe now...).
Mojko on 10:35, 10. Nov, 2009
Well, there are two options.

1. Create a new keyword that will have the effect of either swift, quick or no effect based on some condition.
2. Make an card with individual effect, without using keywords. For example "If something, then play again, without gaining production".

However, even if 2 is implementable, I would like to avoid it. It's because it's unsystematic, since we can't implement something like: "Check condition of the card, if OK then process keyword".

I hope you get my idea.

No, I was thinking along the lines of a card that was quick and gave swift to the next card played or something, so any card could be given swift by the card. I guess that that isn't doable.

Indeed, since cards with continuous effects aren't supported.

Is it implementable to do something like:

"Choose a card in hand to be played this turn along with energy arc. If not enough resources, no effect."? Or is this still not workable?

Just in case you were wondering, I really want something like this to work

No, sorry.
