1) It would be very grateful if it can accept more characters. How about 2000?
2) If you edit the post and your post is over the character limit, the edit will be rejected and all changes are lost. Fix it if possible.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but if your message is extending beyond two or three posts of text, you should be culling your message for length and content.

I disagree. This is obviously a game with a fair bit of depth. There's no reason to think that if you go over the character limit, which is quite short right now, you're being wordy or repetitive.

Just a note. 2000 characters is not equal to 2000 words. I think max 1000 words is not long at all.

Currently it seems like I have to split if I type one or two short paragraphs (or about 8-9 full lines in total). If I go over the limit, it will discard my additions and I have to type again. It's really annoying.

I prefer using paragraphs to split long passage (not a hard limit or several posts). [Note: BTW If you split a long passages into several posts like what you do here in other forums, you would probably get a ban. :P]

Many forums have even ~10000+ characters etc. You can usually find a much longer post (10 times longer) than here.

I would say it's too short for any serious discussions.

I think I'm somewhat discouraged when I want to post some of my research/tips/ideas about the card system and game play etc. They are quite long so I don't bother splitting.

Yes it is way too short, looking at your previous posts ;)
The history not being recorded is most likely a problem in the implementation.

Why is there a limit anyway?

BTW That argument of retyping is a bad one, you only have to make use of ctrl c & v to avoid that.

A section for non Arcomage related talk would be nice. (edit)

1 - we will raise post length to more reasonable size
2 - yes, this needs to be fixed
