Does it really need Runic? I think it'd be good without Runic at the same cost. Another option could be to add a "(max 50)"/"(max 100)" on the negation of previous turn. I like how strong it is, but perhaps it could be a tad less strong?

Why remove a good theme, then? Dump the card effect a little instead. A minus one or two on the end of the argument. Or increase the price, always an option. A Mountain King of all people should have the Runic Keyword.

I definitely agree with Zaton here. I also don't see this card played very often and it ranks at a moderate no. 10 for "most played", despite being durable.
No, I like the inhibiting factor having this card has on the opponent: Not only will an attack be nullified, Mountain King will grow stronger because of it.

I feel that we see it more often because it's summoned via the Runic keyword. I wouldn't change that. I agree that if it needs rebalancing, it should keep Runic.

All good arguments, and yeah I can dig it that he becomes stronger from weak or even modest attacks. But to become stronger from a 150+ attack seem a bit excessive IMO. A very high cap doesn't change him much, but at least spending 70 recruits isn't a COMPLETE waste.

In most cases, u won't be even able to use Mountain King. One-shooters hard counter this card (besides banish ofc)
