I think it's possible to lose in the first round (without having played a card) against something like
quick/swift cards succession like Mage + Overpower + (another Frenzy card)

I think overpower is too much powerful.

What do you think?

You cant pay Mage (you probably mean Sorceress) without a battery of Pegasuses. (and for Sorceress you need 1). And if you have exactly these 3 uncommons in your openingshand, aside that your lucky, you'll leave your opponent at aprox 10 tower.

But how about Pegasus+Sorceress+Witcher(with about 6 different keywords)?

I mean, if you are lucky it could be possible against some mix-deck :D

you cant get a rare card after a quick or swift card.

but if you had like 4 pegasus, 2 sorcress and one overpower + a frenzy in your starting hand you could win in the first round.

Oh poop, didn't know that. But wouldn't it be depressing to lose in the first round? -_-
kakerlake on 16:35, 29. Jul, 2009
it is indeed. i once lost in the first round, but that was when it was still possible to draw rares after swift cards.

pegasus, sorcress, wind and then the finisher: witcher.

How about Wolf raiders with 7 beast (and one frenzy) after sorcerer?
At very least will cripple the opponent.

Undead also with Banshee can get some of that effect but it costs more

No rare after quick can be fixed by a Militia, since the card it discards CAN be replaced by a rare.

So far the beast scenario would scare me the most. It's quite scary even without Pegasus & Sorc (wich aren't very apropiate in a beast deck). And it feels the most realistic.

My overall conclusion would be: Luck can get you anywhere. ;-)

Overpowerness of any deck is determined by overall win/lose ratio compared to other decks, not by the fastest winning possibility.

I guess, my new blitzkrieg deck (frenzy+overpower+legends+swifts+death wave+ vampire)is one of the reasons of this thread.

Now it is really possible to win very fast:

but reverse of the medal is that you almost never can win with it if opponent survived 20-30 rounds.
