It is now possible to test out the new "Cheat menu" feature in the experimental game build that can be found here:

http://arcomage.net/test/

It's just the different game client, so you are able to access all your stuff, with the exception of user uploaded content such as avatars and card concept images.

The cheat menu is located in the same place as "Chat" button on the game screen. Of course, you are only able to use it in a game against the AI.

Please let me know if you have any questions regarding the feature, possible improvement ideas or issues with the new game client.

Haha, I clicked the link, at first thinking nothing happened, then noticing the /test/ but not caring enough not to try a turn in one of my games; Dwarf Miner suddenly had no effect on my production. I removed that bit from the links, and I'll try it again later once it's less likely to mess with things horribly.

Edit: Also, is this more like an edit mode, where you can tweak everything to test stuff? If it can choose which cards go where, perhaps with a nice command-line interface, that would be cool.

What do you mean no effect on production? Also, I don't recall having a card called "Dwarf miner".

I was having a match in the test version against the AI.
I haven't used any cheat during the game and the situation was this just before the AI's move
Then i got this error page:

Fatal error: Cannot access empty property in /var/www/arcomage.net/public_html/_/test/core/Db/Game.php(745) : eval()'d code on line 5

Seems like, after playing "dream shift", it attemped to summon a non existing card (745).

Apologies; Mithril miner (what I get for writing hastily). Highest facility was Magic (at 4), used the miner, the gem display showed only +4, and I only saw it go up by 4. My opponent made no comment, but they're a newbie-- so let me find the replay...here; it still looks to me like my mithril miner randomly had no primary effect, even though the Runic still worked, and this was the only game turn I did after clicking the link and switching to the testing thing.

I have resumed the game in the normal version of the site and it proceeded without errors

the card played by the AI was "sping wood" and the new card was another copy of "spring wood". could it be a problem with the antiflood system?

Thanks for reporting, fortunately both issues were caused by a single mistake in the code. Please do not use the new client for playing cards until the issue is resolved.
Mojko on 17:48, 18. Oct, 2014
The issue should be resolved now, please continue with testing and report any further issues.

fastest resource win in history:

I will look into it.

I thought that you were reporting an issue where you received an award for fast resource accumulation victory by using the cheat menu. I checked it and awards can only be gained when friendly mode is disabled (Cheat menu can be used only if friendly mode is enabled), so above described situation should never happen.
Djinn on 10:07, 19. Oct, 2014
I've messed around with the basic interface some more, and it looks like cheat options only function with scripts; this differs from the rest of the site, which is careful to add the simpler option.
Aside from that, I've noticed that the menu gets reset upon each use; unlike the Deck builder which saves the last thing you placed in each field. (So making it persistent then adding a reset button would be nice.)

I've done stuff with the card placement mostly so far, and it seems to be working fine; the cards work and recognize each-other, and it doesn't even interfere with "new" flags (not sure how to test "seen" flags since I don't know how to get into hidden-mode).

(Edit:) I'll probably play with it more later when I remember an idea for something I want to test.

Thanks for feedback, I think it shouldn't be too difficult to add persistence to cheat menu.

I'm trying to join/create games in this alternative version of arcomage but I always get this error: "Can only use own deck"
Mojko on 19:58, 25. Oct, 2014
I'll look into it.
Mojko on 15:15, 26. Oct, 2014
It should be fixed now.
Fithz Hood on 16:02, 26. Oct, 2014
It's ok now
