In round 62, the keyword overwrote the card's effect. Should that really happen? If you have a card that summons something with a keyword that summons something, shouldn't the card effect take precedence in that case?

Yes, keyword effects always override cards' effects. There are some cards that are penalized by that.
Completion ritual is one of those cards. A solution might be to buff Titan keyword making it summons a Titan not in your hand. In this way there wil be no diffrences between the two effects

Yes the titan keyword and completion ritual has a very unfortunate connection, after losing games due to it and not really benefiting overly much from it i can only conclude that not having the titan token counter is far superior if you are trying a titan victory.

Come on, that's not true, you just need to be careful when playing the ritual.
Noak on 22:46, 28. Oct, 2012
its not about being careful when to play the ritual, a very common situation is having 3 rituals and an almost full titan set, this means you will trigger the token counter if you play your rituals and have anything in it already. You must now draw yet another Titan card just so you can make sure the token doesn't go off. This can all be advoided by just not having set the token counter in the first place.

I agree with Noak. You can't simply be careful about triggering the keyword. What are you supposed to do when you're one play away? Play one of the other Titan cards you're intentionally saving to avoid triggering it with Completion ritual? There's no beneficial option.

Another solution would be to have Completion Ritual reduce Titan tokens as part of its effect, thereby avoiding the possibility that playing it will trigger the effect. Of course, it should grant some kind of bonus for doing so, perhaps refunding gems.

That does sound quite good, actually.

A good idea indeed, but this would make the text longer than now.

This is my suggestion:

- change the secondary effect on completion ritual to Titan token gain
- change the Titan keyword effect to summon Titan not present in hand (nothing if all Titans are present)
- lower Titan keyword token gain

Exact numbers are yet to be determined.

100% agree with this change

Ok, but I want a common with "Titan tokens: +10"

Feel free to suggest a card concept ;-)
DPsycho on 22:07, 30. Oct, 2012
I find this all agreeable.
