That would let it remain a good discarder and Brigand trigger while dissuading constant use of it. Sounds better to me.
Fithz Hood on 12:19, 3. Jun, 2012
add some resource stealing or legend and remove durable
Coolis on 22:37, 3. Jun, 2012
Or make it persistent and discarding matching card if tageted at self so it wouldn't mess up a draws that much. Btw it will be nice combo with rogue then.
DPsycho on 03:51, 4. Jun, 2012
That would make it too similar to existing cards, though. It needs to retain some uniqueness.
dimitris on 13:04, 6. Jun, 2012
One opinion about Dark templar. I believe it would be better if it allowed both players to draw rares. In that way it would have more risk.
Damalycus on 13:09, 6. Jun, 2012
I would not use it then. Sure it gives resources and refreshes hand, but refreshing enemy hand with rares is a no-no.

I mostly avoid discarding cards because I often get much worse rares than those I've discarded. Also I remember a game when I've discarded a card and enemy got the same one.
jbryant3 on 13:32, 6. Jun, 2012
I 100% agree with Damalycus. That is why I don't play Tribute. I believe I started a thread about the discard mechanic some time ago... http://arcomage.net/?location=Forum_thread&current_thread=1257&thread_current_page=0

I also agree that Dark Templar is overpowered as it stands right now. It should just discard the cards without either player getting the rares. I also note that the "T" in Templar shouldn't be capitalized to conform to the formats of the other cards.
dimitris on 13:37, 6. Jun, 2012
I guess people don't like risks anymore :)
jbryant3 on 13:38, 6. Jun, 2012
It's all calculated risk. ;)

Looks good

Update on both balance changes and new cards previews (near final build).

New balance changes:

Crypt: Bricks cost raised to 17 from 15
Fire elemental: Gems cost lowered to 18 from 20, Recruits cost lowered to 8 from 10
Moon empire: Reinforcements summon replaced with Shogun summon
Necropolis: removed Undead keyword
Supply units: a lower rarity card is discarded when recruits cost is the same
Veteran militia: card effect now works correctly when targeting self

New cards:

Apostate: newly added
Steelbeard: Recruits cost raised to 6 from 1, production x0 added
Windmill: reworked

Keywords:

Banish now discards Rebirth as well
Rebirth gems gain changed from 16 to half of the gems cost of the played card

Dark legion now it's an interesting card, it could be randomly better or worse than the current version, also apostate e goblin emperor are good new entries for the horde. probably there should be more horde rares like overlord to nerf apostate a bit. I'm failing at see any changes at Veteran militia. Necropolis seems still very weak for a rare, it really seems an uncommon as it is now, I liked it when it was Undead, it was a way to lessen the power of undead decks. I think that every keyword should have a "bad" rare or summoning cards will be to powerful (remember the first version of nature with only 3/4 really good rares (after earthquake buff)).
Steel beard is still to powerful in my opinion, but let's try it as it is.
Mojko on 11:00, 16. Jun, 2012
Veteran militia apparently didn't work work when you targeted the played card. The card effect would be executed, but standard draw would override it. I guess nobody noticed because this situation is rare.

Totally love everything in this update, except new dragon patrol, and of course heavy infantry picture.
New cards are also great, with an exception of dragon mommy. It's basically just an another setback for dragons. Dunno how would it work with legend summoner too.

Would love to finally see aria in action.

Mmh, Mother of dragons should be swift in my opinion
Fithz Hood on 12:01, 16. Jun, 2012
Ah, what kind of priority will the Aria keyword have?
Aria can discard and draw new cards and this could affect dragon and legend keywords. also tokens depend on the cards you have in hand, so I think aria should work after those kind of keywords
Mojko on 12:06, 16. Jun, 2012
Note that Mother of Dragons will always trigger both Legend and Dragon keywords (assuming it will not target self).

Aria is at the bottom of keyword priorities. Only Enduring, Charge and Siege are below it.

Apostate uses art from The EA/Bioware game Dragon Age Origins. That's Morrigan, a key playable character. You can see this exact art on their website here: http://dragonage.bioware.com/dao/gallery/posters/ (second one down). We should find something different for it.
Mojko on 14:11, 16. Jun, 2012
Darn. It was such a nice picture too. Oh well, any suggestions are appreciated.
Mojko on 14:20, 16. Jun, 2012
I found a nice picture in the picture library that Fithz Hood sent me :) and it was even named "Horde witch".
