This is third uncommon Beast that needs some love IMO. And my suggestion for it is plain and simple - replace Runic with Horde. It would be much more effective and interesting for Beast decks with all those reworked commons.

Thematically, I think it makes much more sense as Runic rather than Horde.

I agree that this card is not great though. Not strong enough offensively for beast decks to really like it. Not strong enough defensively (in terms of Runic and the bricks bonus) for turtle or tower decks to like it much. It just occupies an awkward middle zone.

Well, in HoM&M 3 these birdies were in Stronghold, along with orcs and goblins... so why not? :)
Seriously, that discarding effect would be much better for Roc than Runic, especially with Beast/Horde commons.

I disagree. Did anyone play Heroes of Might and Magic? There, rocs were allied with the barbarians, which I think more like Horde.

I guess the same could be said about World of Warcraft and with Dwarves, which would be Runic... But Horde would make the card much more playable.

Really? I think barbarians are more like Barbarian. :P

When it comes to this game's horde keyword (goblins, orcs, and ogres), I think Rocs are too majestic and natural. If I were to give them a flyer, it would be wyvern or something - something more scaly and creepy.
