Here, as you can see, Tom is alternating which Hungry dead he plays. He deals damage while also stealing my Stock. I feel kinda overpowered by it, and I wonder weither it's really meant to work this way. Hungry dead is the card before Hungry dead, but it isn't the same Hungry dead.

it was for the brigand :P now he had 3 brigand in hand so he had 25% that can steal your resources...
Progressor on 14:24, 13. Apr, 2009
No, it's not random anymore these days. ;-)
Even if it was, he stole more then he was suposed to many times before.

ouuu i think the problem is that the card checked that hungry dead is a new card + it wasnt' the new card + it's brigand effect xD

other way it was an error

Interesting exploit :D, I would recommend to add some uncommon Banish cards or Cleansing to your deck ;)

Yeah I just noticed this as well. Had 2 Hungry Dead on hand, and thanks to a good amount of facilities and a lot of base-gems, I played Hungry Dead 8 times in a row, stealing stock each time, winning by tower destruction.

Hungry Dead are already really awesome, this bug makes 'em overpowered =/

The card effect seems to be the opposite of the card description. In game no. 120033, July 14, vs. S-panda: I played Hungry Dead several turns in a row starting with round 64. Effect: Round 64, enemy stock -4 (plus -2 for Brigand token, total -6); Round 66, 68, etc. enemy wall -17 (-12 for Enduring plus -5 enemy wall for card played). But the card's description says "If new, enemy wall -5, else enemy stock -4."

When you first played the card, it was not new, therefore you got the stock -4. Each successive time you played it, it was flagged as 'new' because of the 'Durable' aspect of the card.

It did function as intended, it's just a bit counter intuitive.

However, there is an issue with this card that I believe is not as intended.

If you have two copies of this card in your hand, and play each of them in an alternating fashion, you are granted the 'Enduring' bonus, while also gaining the 'Stock -4' effect each time.

It is my understanding that the Enduring bonus should only be applied if the exact same card is played successively, not another copy of the same card. Am I mistaken?

It's working as intended. You can use two copies of the same card to create such effect.

Thank you for the clarification :)

I recently noted in another thread that I believe this is the only Durable card where having two on hand is strategically useful. Usually, drawing a second of any Durable is a wasted spot in hand unless you need the keywords.

The effect does make sense... you have more undead to feed!
