Hello,

My name is Dizzm and i'd like to say thank you for making this happen. Since playing MM7 me and my friend Andriot (Who has also signed up for the site) have looked for a version of Arcomage we can play against each other and well here we are :)

I hate to start my first post like this but i do feel extremely overwhelmed by the amount of cards there are and would like some advice onto how to build a good solid deck. Me and Andy have been using the premade ones and would like to design our own. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and such things as what makes a good balance and what some of the more obscurely described cards do such as 'Road of Tartarus'.

Thank you very much for your time.

Hi,
Only way to create good deck is to practise and to play many games with others. You must create own unique style to satisfy yourself. This game is fantastic but any deck doesn't render easy win. Sometimes you must risk and sometimes your opponent makes stupid mistake. Learn a lot and read a lot ...and good luck !

Welcome aboard!

I advise you to test your decks against a computer player before you start challenging real opponents. If you are lost in some many cards, try to build a deck around some theme you like (for example Undead).

Also you can watch replays of all the games that were recorded. This way you can rewatch your own games, but you can also watch games of more experienced players and learn from it.

If you don't understand certain card, feel free to create discussion to the specific card and ask for advice.

If you feel that there are too many cards to keep track of -- which it certainly is sometimes -- then I suggest putting one deck aside and fill it up with cards you like and/or think are good (maybe name the deck "Good Cards" so you will remember it).
This way you can "save" those cards as you play and discover more, and make it easier to draw ideas for new decks and combinations.
It helped me with catching up to a lot of changes that were going on some time ago.
