I took my turn then clicked surrender and confirm. A message appeared at the top of the screen saying that "Game has ended on turn XX. Opponent has surrendered."

If it's simply a cosmetic bug, not a big issue. If it really recorded it as the opponent actually surrendering, obviously there's a problem. It may have done something glitchy because I did not actually exit the screen between playing a card and surrendering.

It's not a bug. It makes since if you read it properly.

It's talking about -The- opponent, not -YOUR- opponent.

If that's the case, it should just say that the game ended due to a player surrendering rather than using the word "opponent" at all.

There is a reason why this message is so odd. We try it to keep it simple as possible. So for both players same message is generated. "Opponent has surrendered" is a game end type. It is possible to generate different messages for both players, but the question is, if it's worth it.

Recently theultramage requested to simplify the system mesages. Right now for each game end type, you get a different message. After the update you will get some standard system message like "Game winner: Some player, Game end type: Some victory type".

So it's simplicity vs. nice messages. Please tell us your opinion.

I like your suggested option. "Game won by NAME. Game ended by VICTORYTYPE".
