I would like to improve the current system of displaying changes made by playing cards on game attributes such as Tower, Wall and so on... Currently changes made by card effect and changes made by keyword effect are mixed together. From the implementation point of view I am able to separate changes into parts. One part for the card effect and one part for each keyword that caused some effect. This way, we will remove all the confusion about cards triggering keyword effects.

The question is how to display these changes in an intuitive and non-confusing way?

By displaying a +value or -value next to each changed value, as it is now happening after a card is played. I don't understand why keyword effects should be displayed differently from normal effects. I think it's more confusing this way.

EDIT: Oops I think I misunderstood the whole thread. I thought it was about preview.

Well, sometimes it's not clear if keyword was triggered or not. I think it could be interesting to see what effect was done by which keyword.

If you want to show them separately, have the keyword values appear in a different color. That way, if you play an Uncommon Beast (Griffin, for example) with the keyword effect, the damage to the opponent's wall could be shown as -14 -5 where the 14 is the standard white and the 5 a beige or yellow hue. We'd also need a color that can be seen against the resource background colors for stock change effects like from Aqua or Mage.

If all you want is an indicator that a keyword effect occurred, like Illusion where no numbers actually change, have the keyword as it appears on the played card show up in a different color so it stands out. This could be done for every keyword that triggers.
