Try go to in game screen and press F5 within that screen. If this works than it probably also explains the problem with the refresh in the other thread.

oh yes, in this way it works.
it happens a similar thing with new card's pictures: you have to hit F5 when there are on screen or else the old picture doesn't change

No, I had pressed F5 both in the Settings screen as well as in multiple game screens. The chat doesn't appear.

I have tested it under Opera, Firefox and Chrome and it works fine. Please try manual cache clear. Under Chrome go to Menu -> Tools -> Clear browsing data -> Empty the cache.

Alright, having done that, pressing F5 within the game screen did restore it. Thanks.

just go to settings and select "integrated chat". and press F5 in a game page

Doesn't mend the problem of new players not knowing that Chat is there, but I'll take what I can get.

I can make the chat dialog to open automatically once you enter a game when you have new messages. This will of course happen only the first time, because once the dialog is open the messages are marked as "not new".

I want to see avatar in game too, not only in the chat!!!
