This is a little thing, but I think the tiers of the achievements should be on more like a logarithmic scale, rather than a linear scale. For example, we have Goblin/Halfling/Dwarf, which require 50/100/150 Gentle Touch rewards. What if it were more like 15/50/200? This way the lower-tier achievements would be accessible to the more casual players, while the higher-tier achievements would require a comparatively hardcore amount of effort. Right now, the tier 3 awards don't require that much more effort than the tier 1s - if Fithz Hood can get Apprentice in a week, then he can clearly get Librarian in 2 weeks and Lore Keeper in 3 weeks.

On a related note, right now the award-based achievements are all scaled to the same amount (50/100/150), which seems unreasonable, since some of them are much harder to get than others. There's a reason Saboteur gives 1 gold and Survivor gives 9. No-one is ever going to get 150 Survivor awards without gaming the system. You would probably have to play on the order of 100,000 games to get it. Even getting 1 Survivor award is a big accomplishment in itself. I think the Survivor achievements should be something like 1/5/25 or something.

Survivor isn't as hard to get as some might think :P i've enforced it before myself by using double edge damage cards, Catastrophe is a great way of doing just that. BUT i've never seen anyone get a snob achievement nor seen the situation described occur during my years of playing Marcomage. I checked a few players achievements and they were all 0/50, so have anyone got one?

I've definitely won by snob. Obviously you just have to have total resources very close to the threshold when you discard. I think it would actually be easier to try to go after than Survivor - just use a Gateway deck and pay close attention to your resources.

I've ended matches by discarding before the achievements. They were resource victories, of course, using either my Far sight deck or Brigand/Aqua deck with Bank before the tower gain was removed from it. I believe the situations were such that I wouldn't have gained the necessary stock had I paid any card's cost. Otherwise, I would have gone for Gentle touch since there was experience to be had for that.

I earned the snob award yesterday after playing Gateway, so it's definitely possible. However, seeing as I am the only person so far to win the award, I agree with Dindon that the number required to unlock the achievement should be much lower, especially for the level 1 achievements.

For survivor in particular, I've managed that twice in ~300 games, so assuming I maintain that pace, it will take me 22500 games to unlock the tier 3 achievement.

I think that there should be some achievements which do not take forever to unlock, so that players are not constantly disheartened by their lack of achievements. I, for one, was quite surprised upon seeing the staggering 50000 wall/tower damage/built required to unlock even the basic achievements.

Also, the tier 2 wall damage achievement should be spelled "Ransacker".
