This idea was suggested by players a long time ago. This is a draft of how should it work:

- guild can be founded by a player for a guild creation fee

- guild starts with some guild slots (used for other player to join the guild), but they can be expanded by buying additional guild slots for gold

- guild has its own insignia and this insignia is shown in players list (small form) and in game (large form)

- guild master can setup tournaments

- guild has it's own chatroom

- guild has its own homepage (introduction information, member information)

- any guild memeber can send gold to guildmaster?

Any suggestions for improvements are appreciated.

Sounds cool, but what's the result? A fraternity-like system where the "ins" invite others to join their guild, freezing out newbies and hacks? I suppose when the site has hundreds of regular players instead of dozens you can combine the guild system with the tournament ideas and sponsor guild wars.

I agree with Razorhelm. Currently, with the number of people playing this game (and judging by the replays Vs lists) we would have a guild for every nationality and it would be comprised by 4-5 players each. Too small.
Also guilds having their own chatroom is a bad idea as it could lead to isolation of pockets of players.

IMO keep it as it is and if we want tournaments then we could have someone in the mod team responsible for organizing and monitoring tournaments among individual players, or perhaps teams of players
