I think for clarity's sake, the card should read: "If your last card played was a rare..."

The wording is consistent with lots of other cards though (Rebuild the Rubble, Eternal Guardian, etc.)

The most surprising thing to me about this card is that it causes you to draw a random rare, not necessarily from your deck.

See, this is the part I understood. Ha ha.

They don't need to all be changed. It's universal that "last card" or "last played" refers to your own actions. Any cases where it is the opponent's action specifies so. We don't need to make card text longer arbitrarily.
