I figured it would be useful to have a thread dedicated solely to the discussion of the Alliance keyword.

As it stands right now, it's very underpowered. I propose 2 possible solutions:
1. Increase the extra gain for having additional Alliance in hand. This would prevent splashes of Alliance from being a resource machine.
2. Make the increase in production dependent on the card played that flipped the counter. x2 for common, x3 for uncommon, and x4 for rare. This would fit with the way Unliving works and I think bring balance to this keyword. There are few rare Alliance rare cards right now anyway and the cards as a whole are a bit underpowered.

The ancient sage will be quite powerful this way: production x24 !

I suggest increasing the stock, instead of multiplying the production. Rare alliance gives +12 stock, uncommon gives +6, common gives +3

i have to disagre, alliance keyword may seam to be weak but it trigers quite often.

Allianc cards are not as good as unliving when it comes to tower and wall building but they are more versatile.

Incrising the production in a way that you describe wuld make them too powerful and with a ancient sage or bank you culd come to resource victory in no time.

First thought: Alliance underpowered? Huh? Why?

This would kill the fun of Alliance combo building.

I meant it as an alternative suggestion to jbryant's suggestion. I don't mind the Alliance keyword the way it is now

I think the Alliance cards are not underpowered, granted they are more designed for resource victories, but you can have tower or even destruction wins if you mix in the right cards with them.
