don't you think it's too powerful?
Progressor on 14:57, 26. Jun, 2010
Haven't seen it in action jet.

Best comparison is probably Castle beyond looking glass. (Also useless if you already have a lot of Wall / Tower.)

Thsts the disadvantage of hidden games:
You can't respond.
Lord Ornlu on 09:17, 22. Oct, 2010
I think the cost of this card should be raised. It's too easy to play and it devastates the opponent. There is no possible response to this unless you have discarding cards in hand. For just 20G/20B/20R the opponent can save himself at the last minute and remain safe for quite a few rounds. I talk as someone who faces it quite often, and haven't really played it much myself. Perhaps someone who has it in his/her decks could provide us with some drawbacks of this card, but at least, in my oppinion it is way too powerful!
Noak on 16:39, 23. Oct, 2010
It's if almost no use against another towerbuilder. Apart from that I think the tower part of this is enough the insane wall is a tad bit much. I also dislike cards like this in general because they tend to stall the game
Unexpected on 11:01, 24. Oct, 2010
It's fantastic card, no need to balance
dimitris on 11:05, 24. Oct, 2010
It's weakness is that it can be usually played only once in a game.
Also it can be countered by other rare cards (Anomaly Sphere, Wall Shift, Outnumbered).
Razorhelm on 21:56, 27. Oct, 2010
It's mostly valuable in the early stages when your wall/tower are below half-way point; after that it reduces rather than raises you and is only worth holding as a save. If you are going to nerf it because it draws out the game you also should nerf a lot of other cards, Order of the White Lotus for one.
Noak on 22:10, 27. Oct, 2010
it main power does not lie in tower building deck but rather as a more or less guraranted immortality in a destruction/resource deck
jbryant3 on 23:05, 6. Dec, 2010
Good lord, this card needs to be nerfed in long mode. I suggest capping it.
dimitris on 09:01, 10. Dec, 2010
Yes, in long mode it's a cheat.
QTrooper on 23:51, 18. Dec, 2010
I have seen it now twice against me and in my opinion i think the card is unbalanced in a way it is over powered. Effectively the cost for the card is 60 (20 of each resource) which can be acquired very early in game. The effect of it is in long mode that big that other cards with about the same cost don't do that much (like dragon squadron it costs 70 gems but only hit for 200 which is still less the what can be gained with the flying fortress). The effect/cost difference is too big with this card in long modes. I don't know how it is like in normal mode but I think it should be capped in long mode.

until this card is banned I won't play anymore

Pardon my observation, but at this time, I see that you've completed six games. I find it highly unlikely that you've seen this card so much as drawn more than once.

I don't think that the problem with this card in long mode is that it can be played easily at the start of the match. If someone draws it that early, wow, lucky. You're likely to win.

The problem is when it's drawn in a match that's been going on for a while. Once it's in your opponent's hand, there isn't much you can do. Optimally, you keep his tower around 100 and stop attacking beyond that. Maybe you'll draw Dragon squadron. Maybe you have enough +tower cards to crawl to the top. Maybe you have a card that can discard a Rare. Maybe one of you will hit 800 resources. Someday. It becomes a deterrent, and an obnoxious one at that.

In my view, it's not that the card is too powerful and it ends matches quickly, but that it can easily draw the pace of the game to an abrupt halt, much as OotWL often does. It's a good reason to have Ambush in your decks, if not one of the Uncommon focused discard choices.
Noak on 18:09, 23. Dec, 2010
this card could easily do without the wall part, making it affect only your tower still doesn't make it a bad card
Lord Ornlu on 18:28, 23. Dec, 2010
I agree with Noak, or at least increase its cost and cap its effect.
It's certainly a major buzzkill in games :P
NG_Beholder on 19:37, 23. Dec, 2010
Oh, come on. It's a RARE, after all. Without a keyword, so it can be drawn with Scepter of Summoning or just drawn. It's not so useful if you have >100 tower. It can be used only once per game. It can be discarded by Samurai, Sphinx, Ambush, Wind Witch, Intrigue et cetera. It can be countered by Order of White Lotus, Return to the beginning, Anomaly Sphere, Outnumbered and outmatched and Water elemental. Hell, it can be even just killed by Byakko, Arthoria, Lord of Time, Phoenix or All-elemental attack.
There are many rares that at least at par with Laputa. Residence of Gods, Citadel of Myr, Redesign, All-elemental attack, Phoenix...
If you want to nerf Laputa, remove its stock gain. That's it.

pardon my observation, but your observations seem to be pretty DAFT!

lost 2 out of 3 lost games due to this abomination of unfairness

And how can you do this with a 300 wall in front of you? You'd need 2 dragon squadrons just to eliminate the massive wall...

Furthermore I don't understand why people keep comparing White Lotus with Laputa. White Lotus affects both players and most of the times with White Lotus you gain something but you lose something else.

There's a fair point in the argument of nerfing Laputa in long mode: Avenging Angel. I don't understand why Avenging Angel got nerfed for long mode but Laputa not.
