I liked this card as it was before today's change. I often used it to reduce the opponent's gems and occasionally as a Skirmisher. This change reduces the number of Common Skirmishers from four to three. (But then, there are only three Common Banish cards as well.)
Without the gem reduction against the opponent, I don't feel it's worth the 6 overall resources to deal 6 damage.
