Due to a malicious attacker who exploited a scripting mistake on one of my websites, data was lost. On the MArcomage site, this means user avatars and user-contributed card concept images. Since data recovery doesn't seem realistic (and there were of course no backups of web files), I ask you to re-upload your avatar, and if you had submitted any card concepts and still have the card images available, please go and re-add them. Thanks.

Timing is also very bad as well. I was just about to start working on the new cards for the upcoming update and all card pictures from concepts are gone ;_;. If you still have images from your card concepts please re-upload them, so I can use them for the new cards. Sorry for the inconvenience.

It would be good if you posted the new cards to be uploaded so people will give greater priority in uploading pictures for those. im sure players like EricHerboroso or lord alex or Spoon would be really bored to upload pictures for all those cards they created.

That's a good point, however I didn't start working on the new cards yet, so I don't know which ones will be picked. I recommend to start with the ones labeled "interesting". But uploading images for other cards is also important for future updates, so I would very appreciate I you could eventually re-upload for them as well.

oh God, it will take me hours.
what if it happens again? don't you have any back-up?
Mojko on 08:08, 8. Jun, 2010
Well, we have backup for the entire database, but sadly not the web files. It's not the issue of the MArcomage security. The attacker was able to do this because of unrelated script that was also located in the webroot directory. I think we can prevent this from happening ever again. Also, from now on I would like to do backups for the card concepts images on my computer at home.
