Why is this card an uncommon one? I've never understood this - it really should be rare. An attack rating of 100 is massive and far better than a lot of the other pure rare attack cards. Sure, it costs 60 recruits - but when you look at the rares, one of the dragons cost 30 recruits and does 50 damage. IMO, it should be either in the rare pile or toned down to justify its rarity.

[Progressor: Please use Cards section to create a balance topic. That way the topic is linked to the card. (I'll fix this for now)]

As a frequent abuser of Regiment myself, I kind of agree. It's not horribly overpowered, but I think making its price closer to Gateway/Pyramids would be reasonable.

Although I'm a frequent victim of this card (contradicting the previous post lol) I don't feel it needs any change. yes it might be very powerful, however knowing it's in your opponent's hand makes the game extremely dynamic and fast. It's indeed very overpowered, but that's its beauty. and it's high cost of recruits is difficult to achieve in most cases, unless you are playing alliance. taking it over to 80 won't change anything but to disgruntle those who use it, who will probably use it with Alliance only, which makes it easy to gather the recruits then but it makes the overall experience more dull

I think its sort of balanced as it is, consider dragon squadron and imperial army as rares when comparing.
comparing it to pyramids: 80 tower is a much stronger benefit that most of the time ends the game while 100 dmg is most of the time survivable.
And well gateway is really really weak.. it has 0 good uses and i've played it once and then it wasn't because it was the best thing to do.

I've used it and been on the receiving end of its use. I've never thought it imbalanced for what it does and what it costs.

I agrea with Noak and DPsycho that this card is not overpowerd at all.
Sure it deals a lot of damage buth it also requires a lot of recruits, and to gather that much recruits it takes time.
More then enough time for your oponent to:
1 raize his wall
2.discard your orc regiment
3.destroys your resources
4.or simply destroy your tower

I think that since Horde keyword was introduced, Orc regiment has no reason to stay a card with 100 attack and no support keyword. I'd suggest following change:

Cost: 55R
Attack: 40 + 5 for each common, 10 for uncommon and 20 for rare Horde in hand

In that case Orc regiment would be stronger in Horde decks, but unusable in resource+ decks as a part of Wishing lagoon summon list.
What do you think?
Fithz Hood on 09:28, 2. Aug, 2012
yeah, I agree, Orc regiment should be nerfed.
your suggestion seems good

Which card will u put in wishing lagoon summon list instead of orc regiment?
NG_Beholder on 10:36, 2. Aug, 2012
None. In fact, I think to suggest a change to Pyramids and Gateway as well. In that case Wishing lagoon would be a support card for three kind of decks: building (keywordless), resource (Alliance or rainbow) and offensive (Horde).
Lord_Earthfire on 20:33, 3. Aug, 2012
I would appreciate a change to orc regiment and pyramid, since they are one-shot cards and decks around them are very powerfull, but gateway should stay as it is. It is none of that one-shot victory cards and still needs to be played properly after it is played. It differs quite well from the other two... (And please, reduce gateway's cost, i never could actually imagine why it should be cost-inferior to one shots like this two xD)

And for wishing lagoon... we should really either remove that card or rework its effect completely if we change orc regiment and pyramid, else it would be just a specific summoner for the needed support card and with this a placeholder for the specific uncommon. This is its currently rolr anyway by the way.

And on the other side, strategies like buiilding, destruction or recources should not be keyword-bound. One shots like orc regiment were always good in stall decks, which did never rely on the horde keyword (that would be ineffective anyway), so why should this ever be made?
NG_Beholder on 10:56, 6. Aug, 2012
Decks of that kind should rely on rares and only on rares. When you have a hand-independent uncommon with high alphastrike, no matter how expensive it is - decks built on fast resource (not facilities) generation will gladly take this card and abuse it. I think that cards like Orc regiment and Pyramids (Gateway in less grade) must be hand-dependent, and resource-generating decks should use something like Scepter of evolution or Scepter of summoning.
Lord_Earthfire on 19:41, 10. Aug, 2012
That's a true point. I believe that pyramids and orc regiment does not fit in the currently set of cards we have in the game (Gateway does fit, since its in fact completely different from the former two because it is no one-shot card and costs 75 of the rares recource in this game). Currently, these are the only really self-standing (I do not tell anything about combos) one shot-uncommons and can be with this easiely abused. Stall decks come pretty much along with rare one shot cards, so in fact they don't need uncommon one-shot cards.
