I played an undead card, then discard and then Eternal guardian but didn't get the effect. (108188 turn 35-40)
I'm guessing this is the same problem as playing quick/swift inbetween cards?

From the manual:
""Last card played" means last card played by you (if more cards were played this round then it is the most recent one)"
I think that in reality should be
-If your last card was not discarded then
"Last card played" means last card played by you (if more cards were played this round then it is the most recent one)
-If your last card was discarded "Last card played" is none

- you have to play the card, not discard it, to get the effect
- if you played a quick undead and then smth else, then yeah it's the same problem

I've fallen into this trap myself. I assumed that Eternal Guardian worked the same way as Reuse the Rubble, which does proc off of discards. The wording is actually slightly different though ("last card" vs. "last card played"), so it's not inconsistent.

It's not inconsistent, the problem this time is the interpretation of meaning of "played". Played is "not discarded" and not like other games, where you play the card to one place or to a discarded pile.

Just to clarify what I thought would happen.
1) I played an undead card
2) I discard a card
3) I play EG.
Thus the last card I
played
is still 1)
I think I read somewhere that in a future update the game will remember previous rounds to fix this kind of problem.
But untill then I really think this should be mentioned in the manual and not only in the F.A.Q conserning quick/swift.

Does "Last card played" really need two descriptions?
1: "Last card played" means last card played by you (if more cards were played this round then it is the most recent one)
2: "Last card played" means last card played by you not the opponent. Opponents last card played is addresed as last card played by opponent
Since half of the descriptions are the same I suggest that we simply put them together to:
"Last card played" means last card played by you not the opponent. Opponents last card played is addresed as last card played by opponent (if more cards were played this/that round then it is the most recent one)

well, the last card played, means the last card you played in the last round. Remember that the system doesn't remember what happened 2 rounds ago. 1, 2 and 3 as you described them are 3 different rounds, so EG would only affect round 2)

As I said above currently "Last card played" means
if in yours previous round the card (="last card") was played (as not discarded) then that is "Last card played"
if it was discards then "Last card played" doesn't exists
