The feature is nice, is it possible to make it a possible default setting under Settings section?

Yes, it is. This feature is experimental, so if you have any ideas, please let me know. I would like to know:

- if the options in the filter are satysfying
- if we need more filters in players section

one more filter would be nice: "has open slots"

If you look at the players list, most people have a free slot. I don't know if such filter would help.

I thing a filter of pending, unanswered challenges would be nice.

Then you can quickly cancel challenges that remain unreplied, without searching a lot.

I'd still like to see a way to set one's own status in order to indicate whether they're looking for quick games, refreshing occasionally, about to log off, "do not disturb," etc.

Yes - custom messages has been already discussed here somewhere (Development - Suggestion: Player Status) and they have been aproved for implementation.

I plan to redesign challenges section - challenges will be transformed to messages like design, so you will see outcoming challenges (you challenged someone) and incoming challenges (someone challenged you).

This is a little thing I realize, but I think it would be nice to be able to set a "default" filter for the Players page. Virtually every time I go to the players page, I immediately select the "active players only" filter, since I'm generally looking for people to challenge. It gets a bit repetitive, and I think it would be nice to have a setting to show only active players by default.

I totally agree with that.
