For some unknown reason every every one out of about 5 clicks redirects me back to the frontpage ... doesn't matter which button I click and if I'm redirected whatever the action I originally intedned to make was, is deleted. If I play a card I suddenly find myself at the frontpage and have to get back to the game and the card hasn't been played... I'm actually writing this the second time because the first time the push of the create thread button redirected me back to the mainpage and my post just didn't appear -.-* can anyone tell me why ? ( Maybe because I installed Firefox 3.6 two days ago ? )

I think it has to do with the aouto refresh thing? Atleast that's what happening to me.

I get the same in a game if I'm writing a message and press Enter to send, I get logged out and sent to the main page. No idea what's causing this.

The problem here is that, by default, the "Logout" button has focus in this situation. So when you press enter, the browser interprets it as if you had clicked "Logout".

I don't know if this is something Mojko thinks is worth changing, but the behaviour can be changed with a bit of javascript, so that when you press enter after typing in the chat bar, it presses the "send" button instead.

As for the other problems, I have no idea what's going on. It might have something to do with autorefresh, as Noak suggested. Are you using that feature, Sundancer?

Yes, this issue is related to pushing the ENTER button. I was trying to solve this without the use of Javascipt, but sadly it isn't possible. Only thing I can do is the change the order of the buttons when they change focus. So, for example, when you type a chat message you can push TAB and then ENTER and it will work fine.

Using Javascipt for pushing sumbit buttons is a bad design. However, the Javascipt can be used to automatically change focus of the buttons, when the page loads.

Back to the topic ... I have to quit marcomage as long as this problem occurs ... it's so incredibly annoying that just watching the forum drives me mad and it just occures on this site... I'll come back after the next version of firefox is released and hope that the problem solves itself :)

Just don't use ENTER and you should be fine.

It has absolutly nothing to do with the ingame chat or the enter button ( I always use the button to send ) but even the button leads me back to the mainpage... like the play card button does... or the discard button ... or the concept button... or the replay or create post or settings or...any button does...:(

What browser do you use? This is not normal behaviour .

I use firefox 3.6 too. no problems for me.

I tested it under Firefox 3.6 and I detected no problems. Weird... Maybe you have some browser configuration problems?

Having the same problem. Happens randomly whenever I click a button - may it be refreshing, posting, playing a card, etc.

To those getting the problem: do you use any add-ons? Have you tried disabling them?

I'd really like to use addons... but they do not work ^^ like google toolbar f.e. ...

PS: I have disabled all addons exept Java

I have AdBlock Plus and the English dictionary addon. I turned them off, same problem. What configuration setting would possibly do this? I have java enabled.

Good news - with umage's help we were finally able to fix the problem. You can now send in game chat messages by pressing ENTER, it will have the same effect as pushing the "Send" button. All other text inputs have the ENTER button blocked, so the redirect bug shouldn't occur. Please report any unexpected behaviour.
