Hi everyone,

currently I have 2 frozen games in my gamelist and it's quite clear that nothings gonna happen anymore. Both of my opponents are new ( one has played 1 game and the other one 14 ) so it's likely that they are not just on a short vacation... and I'd really like to get rid of them but I can't. That's why I'd like to suggest that games with players who have played ( is that correct english? ) less than a still discussible number of games should be abortable after 5 days.

You will be able to abort the game once their inactivity time reaches 30 days. So it's like what you describe, just that the period is longer.

According to the player list, you have plenty of slots free... is the wait period really an issue?

Not for me ^^ I was just suggesting it for players who play a lot more than I do
FilipeSilva on 19:48, 17. Feb, 2010
I sometimes have that :-( maybe the 30 days period is too long for recent players

Have to agree with Sundancer on this. It's pretty annoying to have a game slot taken up for 30 days when nothing is happening. Especially at lower levels where you have less slots available.

This was more of an issue before the new slots were made available. However, having the waiting period be so long does affect veteran player attitudes to new players. Knowing that new players are more likely to disappear, a lot of the more experienced users tend avoid these players. I like the suggestion of bringing down the number in the case of new players. 7 days seems like a good time.

Why not have experience-lvl determine? Lvl 1 = 7 days. Lvl 10 = 30 days. And the rest inbetween :P

30 days does explain why I'm always surprised to see what's going on in games about to be aborted.

That's a fine idea as well.

I agree

Any thoughts on this, mojiko?

This can be implemented and I agree with the idea (I have personal experience with newbies abandoning the games). However, I'm currently really busy in my new job, so all work on this project is currently on hold :(
