Appears quite meaningless to me and looks like a free 20% bonus, since common cards are cheaper and don't take part in winning in this way (at least as much as they would in winning through tower destruction). Also, I suspect that simply discarding common card in the end would count too.

Yes, it is possible to get this award with accumulation victory. The common card needs to be played, not discarded though. Are you suggesting that this award should be disabled in the case of resource accumulation victory?

I'm not sure I agree. You're more likely to get a resource victory on the same turn as you play a rare or uncommon (bank, greed is good, duplication...), so it seems like a similar principle.

I got gentle touch in this game: 98695 (argh! almost survivor award!)
but the ending card was a rare (of my opponent).
Maybe in a case like this the award should be disabled.
