Th sentence about not targeting itsself feels redundant, since the Durable keyword will override the card effect.

Also mask of the phantom has that sentence, and yes, sounds redundant. I've deleted it.

If you are referring to mask of the phantasm, then it's not redundant. Cannot target self says, that if you target itself you will not get the mask of the phantasm, but a standard draw instead.

oh. I never tried that, good to know (well, I think none will ever use mask of the phantom in that way).

Unlikely case but I can imagine you don't want to duplicate a card, but do want illusion keyword trigger. I would wait in such a case till I do have something I want double, but maybe you lack time or patience.
