I notice you don't use the word 'played' for the condition to negate previous effect. This wouldn't work in that case in absence of the History module, the game will 'forget' what happened before if you playe 2 in a row.

But, in absense of the word 'played' it has a way to work: Manual discard.
You'll need 2 of them and a little time. Unfortunately your opponent will see you do it, and have time to delay the attack, but in concept, this is quite ingenious.

Blood Forest isn't written very clearly right now, but it affects both players, so this card might be meant to negate the effect if the opponent had just played it. I think clarification is needed for both cards.

I agree Blood Forest is poorly written, but that card would need it's own topic.

If this card is intended as I read it, it's quite original.
DPsycho on 19:07, 28. Dec, 2009
My point was that, as written, I see this card to mean that it has its effect if Blood Forest was the opponent's last card, not your own. Even if you manually discard, your opponent will have his turn, changing the "last card" to something else.

If the text said "your last card" then it would be a different situation.

You mean you negated the effect of Reuse the rubble one time by discarding some oponents' card? Playing Blood Forest doesn't change your last played / discarded section (it's called card history in the game manual).

Whoops I see Ive misread. Blood Sac referes to Blood Forest. I don't think I like cards that refere to other cards that specific

And now both card texts have been updated, so much of our discussion is outdated.

It is now specifying your own last card having been Blood Forest, meaning that (as I understand it) the history module would have to be in place for the game to recall how much damage was sustained before the opponent's turn. Currently, such data cannot be recalled/recovered.

No, i mean, if your last card was Blood Forest (yours, not enemy's ones), negates 20% of all negative effects of enemy's last round on you, so it's more flexible than before.
(I'll update the card text once again ^^)

Do you now understand the cards?
I would be very thankful, if anyone knows how to shorter the card text.
Progressor on 14:11, 29. Dec, 2009
Now in effect the cards are more decoupled, since Blood Sac doesn't negate Blood Forest's damage, just the circumstantial dmg your enemy míght do.

As for shorter text:
Effects both players
Discards the highest rarity card
Attack N
Stock -N
N is a sum of values based on cards rarity (C:6/ U:15/ R:23)

Is as short as I would get it.

Less confusing:
Both players discards the highest rarity card
Both players take damage and loose stock equal to N
N is a sum of values based on discarded cards rarity (C:6/ U:15/ R:23)

As for Blood Sac:
Look to Master of the past's formulation

It's much easier to understand as it is now worded. I just have a few questions now about the negation effect.

Will it undo positive as well as negative effects?
(If your opponent played a card that increased your stock by 10, will you lose 2 stock as a result?)
(If Two towers was played for +50 wall to both players, will you lose 10 wall?)

Does it round up or down?
(If your facilities were reduced by one, will you regain one or none?)
(Do you have to lose a full 5 resources for it to restore one, or will 3 be enough to make it round up?)

Alternately, is it only meant to negate damage dealt to wall and tower, with stock and facilities not meant to be factored in?
lord Alex on 11:02, 30. Dec, 2009
Oh, sorry, I've forgotten the word "negative", so does it not effect positive effects, nether on you, nor on the enemy.

You have to loose only 3 resources (round up)
And, yes, it also effects stock and facilities (but I don't think that you loose 3 of one facility in one round ^^)
