Regarding this example, I'd point out that it requires you to have three Hurricanes on hand (which isn't terribly unlikely given that it's Common). Playing it twice would cause Wind to be drawn instead. Add those Wind cards on to the chain as desired.
Assuming only one Hurricane, the likely order of play isn't any less threatening:
Hurricane, Renewal, Hurricane, Halfling Rogue, Hurricane, Hurricane, Wind, other Quick/Swift cards that have since been drawn...
