it would be more fun if it was a random non-common card

But in this way is a totally different card. the meaning of this card is to have another copy of your favourite uncommon (taking one turn and 4 gems)

hmmm, possibly, but then if ur favourite card is a titan instant tower victory card, then u will always win in 10 rounds
Fithz Hood on 11:19, 9. Dec, 2009
the titan you are talking abuot is rare. I don't see many problem with this card, i'll like to use it with orc regiment, ice queen, moon shrine... . it's like a custom wishing lagoon.

I think this is a very cool idea, and it addresses a gap in the current library of cards (it's probably the closest we'll ever get to a 'tutor' card). People might complain that it makes it easier to take advantage of certain cards that they consider overpowered (and I can certainly think of a few uncommons that fit that bill), but I guess that just gives an incentive to better balance them.

This would cause the card position in the deck to matter and that I dislike.

Well in the current system, it's pretty much the only way to have targeted summons. If you don't like using deck position though, I guess there are some alternatives:
- Make part of the deck-creation process involve choosing one "signature" card (or maybe one for each rarity). Then cards would be able to have effects like "Next card will be your signature card". This just means adding a bit more information to each deck, as you did when token counters were introduced.
- Right now, the only support for multi-mode card playing is the "Mode 1, 2, 3..." dropdown menu. You could introduce a more flexible menu that would allow card effects like "Choose a card from your deck. Next card will be chosen card". Obviously a dropdown probably wouldn't work for this, but it could create a modal menu that looks something like the current interface for the deck editor. This would be a bit complicated though.

Another option would be to have the summoned card set during deck building when the summoning card is selected for inclusion in the deck. It would require some tweaking of the deck builder, but if taking summoning card X causes an input box to appear to set its target, possibly a list generated by other cards in the deck, that might work out. This way, separate cards working in similar ways wouldn't all have to have the same target.

I do agree with Mojko that the position of the cards shouldn't matter, but this is definitely a concept that deserves further thought. If not in its current for then at least in the general "next card will be chosen card" form. There have been aso many games recently where both players have clearly just been waiting for the nice card to finish the game and playing whatever they can in the mean time. (e.g. I have 100 bricks and am waiting on Pyramids, they have 100 recruits and are waiting on Orc Regiment... or whatever).

ps. bear in mind there's quite a lot of alcohol in my system right now, so I hope the above post makes sense to people who aren't me as well.
