So if you have 10/10/10 it does 30+50+100=180 damage?
Fithz Hood on 13:30, 15. Oct, 2009
I think this card deals 3 damage for every common, 5 for every uncommon and 10 for every rare in enemy's hand; it's not based on resources.
jbryant3 on 14:04, 15. Oct, 2009
Fithz got it right. The max it could do it 80 damage (if all cards were rares) and the minimum would be 24 (if all cards were commons). I figured the brigands could use a beat-stick since the majority of their cards don't do very much damage.
Noak on 21:21, 19. Oct, 2009
i have no idea how i came to that conclusion must have made some grave misreading during the late night.

Still isn't it kinda strong?? average arround 30 damage for 5 recruits sounds insane even for a rare, for example the beast card mistress does only 12 damage for the same cost (can be 17 with frenzy keyword activaton) or other smilar cards.
DPsycho on 22:33, 19. Oct, 2009
Perhaps it should only count cards with cost, so zero-cost cards would add no damage. Could fit the Brigand motif. It would probably still be too strong, though. 1/3/10 would cause a fair amount of damage with a severe increase for Rares on hand.

I can't help but wonder, aside from the name, why this is a Brigand card at all. It does nothing relating to anyone's stock.
jbryant3 on 23:11, 19. Oct, 2009
I wanted to give Brigands a beat-stick. That's all. :)
Progressor on 13:34, 20. Oct, 2009
They don't really need a beat stick, since they slow the opponent so much he can't do anything, even against the minor Brigand dmg. You can always add stuff like Clay Golem to your deck for extra offensive (!and defensive!) capability's.

I have clay golem in my deck... Just throwing ideas out there. Ha ha.

This new design for the card, discarding a selected card from enemy hand and dealing damage based on its cost, strikes me as a good suggestion. It gives you the Brigand attack you wanted while fitting the motif. Being Durable (and Rare, such that there's only one Banish card that can discard it), the cost makes sense. However, without looking through the existing cards myself, I can't help but wonder how many non-rares have a high enough cost to be worth the 25 recruits to play this. Actually, I think I will check.

Edit: I count 64 Uncommons with a total cost of 20 or more. I withdraw my concern, there would be plenty of opportunity to play this for decent effect. I like it.

I approve. This concept seems well-balanced.

I'd like a way to continually remove cards and do damage to opponent. The fact that it is only non-rares...I think this could cost 20 and not be overpowered.
Mojko on 06:15, 23. Oct, 2009
I think we could make it uncommon only if we add some limit to maximum attack. Also manual selecting of the cards could be changed to automatic selection seeking highest cost card.
jbryant3 on 12:56, 23. Oct, 2009
That sounds good to me. I'm basically just throwing ideas out there.
