I'm really liking the new side effects that have been added to many of the keywords. They definitely add a new dimension to the game. My only problem is that, unless you're paying very close attention to the numbers before and after a card is played (and probably doing a little math), it can be often hard to tell whether or not an effect activated that round.

I think it would be nice if there was some indication after your turn, if an effect procs. Anyone agree? Maybe it'll just take some getting used to, I don't know...

(Also, sort of a side note: This update seems really awesome so far. I'm loving the new cards)

Seconded. It's especially difficult in games where each player only makes one move a day. I've written down stock, walls, and towers at times, but it's still confusing.

Well a notice is great.

I will usually lose morale for long-lasting fights like one move per day. I often forget what I'm trying to do and make inappropriate moves. I will become impatient and may simply lose/surrender. :(

BTW how important side effect is in affecting the victory/loss?

Indicate side-effect(s)? How? Where? When? These are the qeustions that need answers...

Perhaps by highlighting the keyword on the played card? For example, playing an Unliving card and triggering the effect would have the word "Unliving" on the card's image on the field appear as a color other than black, perhaps green or gold.

Maybe it will be better to write a message after player's turn that "Keyword @@@ was affected" or simething like "@@@ was affected and gives to you xxx, attacks enemy by xxx, etc...". It could be a message at the top of the screen, like message about played round number or message about victory.

Nice idea Vic. so simple but yet very good.

See thread Development -> New token system. When side-effects will be rewoked to new system (and they will be next update), you will have token counters to indicate that side-effect has been activated.
