Mad Experiment (Rare)
Cost: 0
All Facilities = 1
Replace all cards in hand with random rare cards not from own deck.
Replace chosen opponent's card with random rare card not from their deck.
kakerlake on 17:53, 15. Jan, 2009
i think that card is a good idea but much too powerfull to use it this way.

maybe change it into something like this:

cost 0,
both stock = 20
both facilities = 1
both players discard all cards and recieve new rare cards not from their decks.
KingPirux on 22:55, 15. Jan, 2009
mmm it gives me some ideas:

Eh, the point of Mad Experiment isn't to destroy both players' facilities... that would be too powerful. The point is that you're giving up all your facilities on a risky gamble, hoping to get something useful that you can use to win. You don't get to use it immediately, though... so if the rare you just gave your opponent is something good, you may not even get a chance to use it. Not to mention the possibility of countering it with Black Market/Tribute... or, for that matter, Evolution/Micramix, which you may have just given them.

Odds are that most of the rares in your hand won't be applicable to your current situation; they're cards not in your deck, after all, so you'll definitely be getting cards whose abilities are limited by the random potpourri you've acquired. More importantly, you'll not be getting much more in the way of resources... at all... for the rest of the game. But if you've got enough resources already stockpiled, then it might be worth it.

RE: facility conversion cards

You can't really convert "all" of one facility to another as the game keeps a lower bound of one each. Would this be taken into account? (Would 3/3 become 5/1?)
KingPirux on 20:16, 16. Jan, 2009
yep that's a good idea:D
Pyfty on 22:59, 19. Jan, 2009
Stability (R)
durable
4 each
attack: 3X
wall: + 2x
tower + x
stock +x

oops... :)

x = durable cards in your hand
Fithz Hood on 08:42, 20. Jan, 2009
Ok, but what is "x"?
jakewaste on 11:56, 22. Jan, 2009
Hi!
I've got a pair of card suggestions, and please give me some feedback regarding balance and such =)

Draw Upon Holy Might (rare)(holy)
Cost: 15 r, 15 g, 15 b
Attack: 3N
If N > 8 Facilities +1

Where N is number of holy cards in game

----------------------------------

Essence of Medusa (uncommon)(destruction)
cost: 15 gems, 5 recruits

Replaces all unliving cards in game with Palisade Walls
Each player suffer -3 wall for every card replaced this way
If none are found enemy wall -10

I think that a "Unliving-Cleansing" card is needed, to give non-unlivingplayers the ability to keep their opponent in check.
Progressor on 12:47, 22. Jan, 2009
Essence of.... is about fine I think, comparing it to a card like Sheath your sword.

About the Holy card: It pretty much demands a hand full of Holy's for it's conditional to trigger, and even then you'll need to hope that the opponent has at least 1 Holy card on hand. Summarized: The effect for Facility's +1 will probably only trigger in a Holy vs Holy match, and isn't worth it's cost if it doesn't trigger.
Asume your hand full of Holy cards it deal's only 24 Dmg for 15/15/15, wich sucks for a rare. (Compare it to Shadow unicorn that deals 25, gives +Magic and more for 15/15).
kakerlake on 13:16, 22. Jan, 2009
Day of Faith

same as wildfire gem but with ramdom holy cards.
kakerlake on 13:27, 22. Jan, 2009
Kakerlake [3each]
(common)(insect)(holy)(unliving)(barbarian)
if this card is discarded: tower -5

---

Insect Plague [5each]
(uncommon)
if Kakerlake is in your hand, discard all rare cards. enemy tower and wall -10 for each card discarded.
if none found, discard all uncommon cards enemy tower and wall -3 for each card discarded.
discards all insects
jakewaste on 15:55, 22. Jan, 2009
This card would help the in the sense that it would make unlivingdecks a lot easier to damage. Most unlivingplayers usually end up with 7-8 unliving cards on hand early on in the game. By playing a card such as this, you would force the unliving players to have a "plan b". That would force them to put in other keywords in their decks and make the entire game far more strategical and fun.

As it is, you pick all the unlivingcards, crack off a couple of mud elementals and then focus on breaking down your opponent, who by that time doesn't stand a chance against a relatively HUGE wall.

*EDIT* Apparently I misread kakerlake's post. Originally my suggestion made the unliving cards turn into wildfire gems and i misunderstood it. But I think that the rest of my post still stands, since it is valid critisiscm.
Myschly on 15:59, 22. Jan, 2009
When you're Holy and meeting a deck with no Undead, you really want to see a card like this:

(C) 0 Quick, Holy
If there are no Undead cards in opponents hand, choose and Discard a Holy card

Might be too good with 0 cost, I dunno... I'd really appreciate a card like that, so you could get some speed vs non-Undead decks with Holy.
Progressor on 16:08, 22. Jan, 2009
jakewaste, when I read your post I doubt you've even read the posts before yours.
Endovior on 17:23, 22. Jan, 2009
I'm not in favor of such ridiculous counter cards. Cleansing is pushing it far enough as is; it's useless enough that people complain about wanting an easy way to replace it against normal decks... and powerful enough that it makes the Undead player cry.

Of course, Holy is an oddly specific keyword anyways, so there you go.

'Essence of Medusa' is really awful for just the same reason; it's an even more extreme example of the above. Perhaps you missed the inclusion of the card named 'Corrosion Cloud'? That's what you're looking for. Use that card.
DPsycho on 18:40, 22. Jan, 2009
I don't like the Medusa suggestion as it currently stands either, but I will say that Corrosion Cloud just isn't cutting it.

I've only seen it in one deck since it was introduced, and the fact that it hones in on the card with lowest brick cost makes it rather ineffective. When I play my Unliving deck, my hand quickly fills with 2 and 4-brick cards that are rarely played, just there for the keyword. The cards that are played are the Unliving ones with 15+ brick costs and the non-Unliving ones that increase facilities or unleash a strong attack at the expense of gems and recruits. All that Corrosion Cloud ends up doing is discarding a card that was likely never going to be played and reducing bricks by an insignificant margin in the face of 5+ Quarry. I've yet to change strategy mid-game due to the appearance of this card.

As a potential fix, I would suggest having Corrosion Cloud reduce bricks by the number of Unliving cards in the opponent's hand. Heck, also have it reduce Quarry by one if there are 6 or more. Then I might start fearing it, and ideally, seeing it in more decks.
Xenogeist on 00:37, 23. Jan, 2009
I used corrosion cloud to pretty good effect my last game, but my opponent didn't have cards like stone archers in his hand either. Sometimes its just about luck.

Medusa (Rare) (Legend)
Cost: 30 gems
Replaces all Barbarian, Soldier, Brigand, Mage, Undead and Beast cards with Unliving cards of the same rarity. Players take 3 damage and gain 3 bricks for each card they replace.
Xenogeist on 00:52, 23. Jan, 2009
I've Got A Plan! (common)(quick)
Cost: 0
Next card you receive will be either Cleansing, Corrosion Cloud, Reuse the Rubble, Undead Raid or Don't Be Hasty.

Or if that is too weak:

I've Got A Plan! (common) (quick)
Cost: 2/2/2
Choose a card from your hand to be discarded and replaced with Don't Be Hasty
Next card you recieve will be either Cleansing, Corrosion Cloud, Reuse the Rubble or Undead Raid.
