I think those cards are just used because we don't have enough alternatives. Honeslty I very often thought about not taking wind because it needs a free slot in my card deck. Their could be lots of better cards for theme decks for example.

Take the uncommon cards for example: Last hope gives you at least 1 stock+ for free... but it's not in every one of my decks because ( depending on the strategy ) there are better cards to take.

you are right for uncommon quick cards such as last hope

but you are wrong for common ones
because all wind does is reduce the ratio of commons cards you get, and uncommons are CLEARLY better cards
