where can I build my deck? I´m baffled right now because I can´t find the option...
jcdenton666 on 14:50, 27. Oct, 2013
as soon as I log in, the cards menu option disappears. seems to be related to the "halloween update". I did clear my cache, and tried ie8 and firefox but any card or deck menu option simply doesn´t show up at all...

well, you are level 0 and the deck building becomes available at level 1. Try to play some games against the AI and level up. The AI has lowered difficulty on such low level.

I see. thought it was the browser´s fault. thanks. (you should mention that somewhere though, tutorial section or something)
Mojko on 17:22, 27. Oct, 2013
Indeed. I'll add it to my TODO list on Christmas update.

Added tutorial description in the Christmas 2013 update.

For a game lacking in popularity, this is an egregious barrier-to-entry.

Rather bewildered that you have to unlock cards as you gain in levels as well.

Getting to level ten, the tutorial phase of the game that can be done entirely through AI matches, can be done in one sitting. I'm not sure what the problem is. If you were required to play human opponents to access all of the more complex features, that would be one thing, but you're meant to learn the game by playing against the computer rather than getting slaughtered by people who know game mechanics that are admittedly rather complicated.

Well, there are two kinds of people: the ones who follow the istructions step by step and the "I want it all and I want it now". for 10(?) years we've used the second approch, giving all the options and cards at once. The result was that many players (rage)quitted after one or two games.
Because people hate to lose.
So we changed style and now you have to play (usually winning) against the AI to unlock some features. The process is quite fast but I wonder if it should be faster (like: first game->level up). We still don't know if this style will help the site grow, but surerly the first one didn't helped so much. only time will tell.

I think making it faster should help. Leveling does not happen in one sitting. I currently have 51 victories and 13 losses (one of each are against other players) and I am just at level 9. I don't think 64 matches can happen in one sitting, but maybe I am just much slower than other players right now. I'm glad I will have full access once I am level 10!

That does sound slower than I understood it to be. Tweaking the gains or unlocking everything at level 5 should be in order, then.
Mojko on 06:59, 28. Jan, 2014
The AI experience gains are currently lower with each new level and they disappear completely when the tutorial ends. I can make the experience gain to be unchanged during the whole tutorial.

The following perspective isn't perfectly pertinent to discussion, and I guess I should have read manual material or something, but it was utterly baffling to me that after coming back here after 5 years, I suddenly couldn't edit my decks (and didn't remember what any of them did), so just picked one at random until I got something interesting.
Mojko on 15:31, 10. Jun, 2014
Yeah, well we didn't actually do any old player migration thing back then. Maybe we could have set all existing players to level 10.
