I'm for it - I like the idea of you getting some monetary return for your hard work on this site.

That being said, I hope the ads aren't intrusive into the gameplay/mechanics of the site.

I use adblocker so I don't care :)

But as long as it's not some very flashy/heavy flash banner I might even switch off adblocker for this site.

Actually it's switched off right now, cause it blocks one card image for me :)

if they put banners on the bottom it's ok for me: in my netbook I have a very limitated view.

Hard to have an opinion without more specific info. I say proceed and find out what would be required.

I have no qualms with this. Ads at the top/bottom would be prefereable to the sides as I, too, sometimes suffer from limited resolution.

definitely better on bottom than top, I don't want to scroll down every time the page refresh (and you know how much we refresh pages).
also banners on the right side are fine

This. I'm all for it, as long as it's at the bottom, & doesn't screw up the loading time. I only play on my tablet, every now & then the loading time's slow, so that's a concern. That's also why I want the ads at the bottom, it's much wider than an iPad.
