Check out new cards and balance changes preview. These are not final versions, since there will be one more balance round before the update.

Enjoy the summer holidays ;-)

Btw. 26 of the 28 new cards are based on the card concepts submited by players. Thanks for your suggestions :)

whats up with the cute and fluffy snow bunny?

does vulture work in kombination with overpower?

there is something wrong with the new tribes of the east. whats up with the mentioned barbarian tokens?

overpower is now more overpowered, n1 =) i love that card.

the troll effect of troll bridge is somewhat weak, for that you have to add stinking troll to your deck, dont you think?
Fithz Hood on 14:11, 21. Jul, 2009
Snow bunny rulez :D
I don't understand how tribe of east works now. "If barbarian tokens stock +3". what does it means? (anticipated by kakerlake)
anyway it's a nice update, I'm courios about the new "frenzy" keyword.
Mojko on 14:37, 21. Jul, 2009
"If barbarian tokens" means that you have barbarian token counter set.

Vulture works only with standard discard (discarded by discard button), so, no it doesn't work with Overpower, since that's not a standard discard. It's a discard by card effect.
Fithz Hood on 14:39, 21. Jul, 2009
But if i have tribe of east in my deck it's quite obvious that the barbarian token is set. same for draft.
Mojko on 14:41, 21. Jul, 2009
It's most logical, but not mandatory.
X-Factor on 14:48, 21. Jul, 2009
I think I've got one good imp picture. I have got this picture for a long time because I assume this card :D.

Ah, Bank got a brutal nerf I see... Recently won a game by resources, played Bank 4 times in a row, had like: 45B, 25G, ~350R XD
Chrone on 10:58, 22. Jul, 2009
My opinion about all this:

1) Halfling rogue is card that gives you two fixed commons in hand. It is totally useless if not quick. besides, it seems logical to make it alliance or nature.

2) Troll bridge's troll-in-hand bonus is arguable.

3) Point of treant card was attack coming before wall reduction. Maybe now it is better, but i had to mention it.

4) Ancient sage is kinda useless without handful of nature cards, which is impossible without nature-deck that is absent now.

5) "If *tokens* then" is a bit confusing wording. Maybe "if Undead tokens are set" or "are chosen" will make this a bit more clear.
Progressor on 12:15, 22. Jul, 2009
Id go for "if #keyword# tokens are set", since 'set' is the word used in the deck builder. Either way, the way it's on the card now is too confusing.

Other random thoughts about the update:

Time lock becomes interesting.

Catastrophe... Ill miss the mass-facility-destruction it once had. It's a completely different card now.

How cute! It's a common dragon. :-D But... Im not a native English speaker, however, Dragon Hatchling seems a more logical name. (My Spell check moans it should be Hatch Ling.)

No one will pick Work in progress as it is now. (Correct me if you would ;-))

Poltergeist hits where it hurts most. It looks quite powerful early in game.

I like the new alternatives for cleaning up your hand.

Story wise, shouldn't Treant be an Alliance card, just like Ent? (Maybe invaders -> Barbarian?)

Would Relic hunter finaly make titan victory possible..?

More Rebirth, more fun. :-)
DPsycho on 18:14, 22. Jul, 2009
I would use Work in Progress as it is now. For a deck that uses high-cost Recruit or Gem cards, it's a simple way to generate production rounds while negating some of the damage you'd expect to receive. Its weaknesses are Banish and Charge cards. If you don't have an expensive card in hand waiting to be played, you'd just play other cards instead and generate new ones.

It may even be useful in Unliving decks as having five, six, or more Quarries is not unlikely (so you'd still gain bricks in the long run) and having 90-something tower and hoping to draw another tower building card seems to happen somewhat often.

My beast deck certainly got nerfed. Not that it was some world-beater...

Question about Nature/Restoration/Illusion:

"Illusion - if last card played was a non-common Illusion card (different from the played card) next card will be a rare card from enemy deck."

What does it mean (different from the played card)? At first it seems to be saying, "if last card played" but then that bit in parentheses confuses me.
FilipeSilva on 01:44, 23. Jul, 2009
I think it means the last card played including the opponent
marsrover21 on 02:06, 23. Jul, 2009
So to get the bonus, your opponent needs to play the nature card or w/e?

Also, I think I lost my refresh button in the games section. I keep hitting logout :\
Xenogeist on 02:45, 23. Jul, 2009
I'm also wondering how the Illusion, etc. keywords work. Do you need to play a non-common illusion and then another illusion to get the effect and what happens if the card effect is supposed to summon a card (like mirror strike)? Which effect happens, the keyword effect or the card effect?

Also it looks like Legends got a huge buff.

Also, I may be biased because I suggested the original concept but I think Invaders is pretty weak as it is.
Mojko on 06:05, 23. Jul, 2009
"if last card played was a non-common Illusion card (different from the played card) next card will be a rare card from enemy deck."

To get the effect, you need to play two Illusion cards in a row (not necessarily the same round). First one must be non-common, the second one has to be different from the first one.

So for example if I play Mind control and then I play Wolf spirit, I will get the effect. If I play Mind control and then one more time Mind control I won't get the effect, because both cards are the same. Also if I play Wolf spirit and then Mind control I won't get the effect, because the first card needs to be non-common.

Let's take one more example: Alchemy. It is a durable card, so I can play it in a row many times, but I won't get the effect, since it's the same card played multiple times.

Btw. if you are looking for refresh button, it was moved to game section only (next to Next game button). In all other section please use standard browser refresh (F5).
FilipeSilva on 17:09, 23. Jul, 2009
I think the () are the ones that confuse.
marsrover21 on 19:15, 23. Jul, 2009
Oh, I get it. But it seems pretty confusing as worded now. Would this be better?

"if you just played a non-common Illusion card, then play a different Illusion card to get X."
DPsycho on 22:46, 23. Jul, 2009
"If an Illusion card is played after a different, non-Common Illusion card..."
Fithz Hood on 08:26, 24. Jul, 2009
some random consideration:
The new ability of the "mage" keyword is too good, maybe "gem +10" is better.
Chaos wizard should at least discard non-rare cards, but now banish is really needed.
Deck import/export is fantastic.
"Invaders" is too weak, normal discard action is better; giving it attack 2, enduring(2) could be a solution.
"work in progress" it's good when you're stocking up recruits and gems, a good alternative to discard.
"Dark flame" is interesting, I've just made a deck with 13 zero cost common and dark flame (and chaos wizard); i wonder if it works.
The "ancient sage" actually is weak, it's good only in combo with vulture if you know what I mean; there aren't enough nature card right now, I suggest to make it "production X(N+2)".
"Avenging angel" is really fun, a good defense card, fantastic in combo with walhalla.
I don't think that beast deck was nerfed, it's true that now "overpower" deals less damages but it's usable also with some uncommons; and the frenzy keyword is quite good.
Awsome update.
