Probably was discussed here at some point, but search gave me nothing. Why card image size is exactly 80x60?

Why not 120x90 for example, even if at lesser quality/bigger compression?

A long time has passed, maybe it's time for an 'upgrade'?

Probably due to small screen resolutions (things were different in 2006). Still, I don't game screen is too small. On the other hand widescreen resolutions are very common now, maybe we should redesign game and deck screen to best fit widescreens. For now, you can always zoom in in your browser.

I for instance, do zoom some 30%
But I rather have big cards and zoom down if I need too.

It's the max detail that card image can hold at that resolution bugs me. There are some cards, where I cannot tell what's really depicted on them.

Also - have you thought about client-side application? Downloadable marcomage :)

It's already downloadable, just setup MArcomage locally and you can play ;-)

It's not so easy to do.

Another thing: we could shorted card text by replacing all keyword names with icons, as images or even embedded font.

(Discard all non-rare Barbarian or Soldier from hand)=(Discard all non-rare 'Axe' or Shield from hand)

What do you think?

I think I already tested such idea and it looked weird. Keyword icons break up the line spacing.

As someone who doesn't use the icons for the keywords, having them forced upon me within card text would be extremely jarring.

Agreed

The keywords insignias in text would be enabled only when keywords insignia option is enabled, so it wouldn't be mandatory. I'll do some testing. Maybe increasing the font size would do the trick.
