There should be an option to block yourself from other players who consistently play a deck you don't want to play against. Right now the only way to prevent this is to only challenge other players, but this is tedious.
DPsycho on 4/26/2012, 9:35:07 PM
While this sounds divisive, I can see it being a useful option when hosting games. Perhaps create "exclude" lists that can be selected when hosting a game just like the deck list. If it can be done invisibly (the hosted game simply doesn't appear in the list for affected players), then I support the suggestion.
andi on 4/27/2012, 5:19:50 AM
I agree. I would very much welcome such a list. Some individuals exclusively play decks that require neither skill to build nor to play and that's their idea of fun. Well, then have fun with the AI.
dimitris on 4/27/2012, 7:50:53 AM
It's not a bad idea. It will also help avoid players who play really slow (1 turn every week or so).

I agree with DPsycho's suggestions.
jubekoll on 4/27/2012, 11:14:10 AM
only players i would not to like to play is who play brigand decks
Damalycus on 4/27/2012, 4:50:53 PM
I'd say add a time limit to this ignorelist.

You choose player(jubekoll), you choose time limit(5 weeks), you choose message('tired of your damn deck')

message is then displayed for trying to connect player

I'm surprised people don't like playing against players who use the same deck over and over. You should be at an advantage if this is the case, since you could build a deck to counter them.

(If a deck is actually uncounterable, that would be a big balance issue. I don't think there is such a thing though - every technique has counters.)

I find that very monotonous and boring. I would rather play a variety of decks and lose than the same deck over and over and win. I honestly just hate decks that purely attack the tower...
Damalycus on 4/27/2012, 11:53:50 PM
I tend to use same deck a lot over and over. I usually delete all my decks once a week/month and build a new 1 or two concept decks and play with it.

Sometimes I make a deck especially against some annoying deck, after losing to it 3-4 times with my new concept deck.
andi on 4/28/2012, 5:38:58 AM
The couter thing is true of course Damalycus, but since you cannot know which of your games that individual is joining, you have to open all your games with that same deck and other people will of course join that where you would have liked to play your normal decks. The ignore option could be individual for each game, where you can choose who can join you for your game with your specific deck, but I am not sure about the effort that needs to be put into such a thing.
Mojko on 4/28/2012, 8:30:58 AM
The arguments seems logical, but I'm not sure if the effects will be always positive. I'll do some analysis on the effort that would be required to implement it, but my current priority is the implementation of new cards for the summer update as well as some balance changes. Also I wanted to improve the standard game AI - I already have some ideas.

Only thing I am waiting for.

I agree with Dindon, playing against same deck is easy and funny - not boring. For example, if you lose and lose - think about building good counter - I like this job !
If you win and win - what a problem? I like to win... Let an opponent worry about this
sillenia on 5/9/2015, 10:14:07 AM
well, i would be happy to have this possibility, since i like placing open invites and would hate to have to stop with it just because i do not like to play 1-2 rude players ... so in fact not having this possibility interferes strongly with my fun here ...
Kenaz on 5/9/2015, 11:29:22 AM
Can you not message the players you have a problem with and let them know? They might be reasonable and stop joining your hosted games or maybe get some fresh decks to try.
sillenia on 5/9/2015, 11:39:14 AM
well, this is what i am trying now, but what am i to do in case they are not reasonable?
and i stated my problem is with behaviour, not with decks :)

also a problem you get when you place open invites - a new player logs in for the first time, joins 10 of your games and never moves or logs in again ...

Ah yes, I can see this being a big problem. Perhaps a setting that allows a player to edit the maximum amount of PvP games with the same player at the same time?
Coolis on 5/9/2015, 2:19:16 PM
You can disallow simultaneous games in game settings
sillenia on 5/9/2015, 5:18:06 PM
i am aware of this, yes
but i do not mind having more than one game with a person
i mind having more than one game with somebody who is not moving
Coolis on 5/9/2015, 5:41:48 PM
That's why I'm setting time limit to the games I host.
