I believe in the Idea of continuing effects!

I think this solution is simple and it serves the purpose!
For example the continuing poison card:

Poison (16G/ uncommon/Quick)
Enemy recruits – 20%
Next card will be Poison aftermaths.

Poison aftermaths (free/Quick/impossible to get random)
Enemy recruits – 25%
Next card will be attenuation of poison
No effect if played after Poison

Attenuation of poison (free/Quick/ impossible to get random)
Enemy recruits –15%
No effect if played after Poison aftermaths

With the continuing effects would be so many different Tactics possible and I don’t think that it’s too complicated

Remarks
-You can't play it next round, but you aren't forced to play it next turn. You could keep it to play it shortly before your opponent can pay Dragon squadron. Therefore it misses the point of continuous effects.
-With a swift card on hand, you even can play it the same turn.

[Where 'it' refers to the continuing version of the card]

You are right!
Do you know how to make a better version of continuing effects?
It would be able with: Can just stay for 2 Rounds on hand, but I don't think that it's able to implement...
(You can't play it in the same "Round" because if you play a Swift card, a new Round begins)

A better version would eat quite some time from ultramage and Mojko. By which I mean we'll get REAL continuous effects. The played card will appear in some active card area for three turns.
I doubt think it's worth it.

Just for your information round counter does not increase when swift or quick cards are played (i.e. see last update info).

Not having continuous cards was a design decision long ago, so it would be very problematic to add them now. Back then I was aware of such cards, but I had my reasons for doing so. If you're interested read more about this in the "Project history" section in the [webpage].

Emulating (or simlulating) continuous cards is not a best way to go either. I think we will just have to live without them ;)
